Beautiful location but no access to boogie boarding and it is an older resort. Many boats in the “harbor”. Staff is amazing and food is good.

The Barcelo resort is beautiful and well maintained. The pools are in good condition and offer various water features such as waterfalls and a slide for kids. The rooms, grounds and entertainment are very good. Clean and everything in working order. The only area that needs improvement I would say is the food. I would rate most of the dishes as average which falls somewhat short since the property, staff and rooms are well above average.

Wish I would have done a little more research. The view was great. We were offered to upgrade to premium and did. Very glad we did. It's true about little mosquitoes (jejenes) bring bug spray or take use the spray they offer. The one bathroom next to event center always had a bad odor. As I seen others had mentioned. Food was unique as it usually seems to be. Which is fine and to be expected in my opinion. To far away from marina for us to take advantage of excursions that leave from there. All and all, I don't regret it, but probably won't go back.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool areas are also clean and well cared for. They fog areas for the little mosquitos and use a hawk to keep away the crows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was mediocre, something for every one. Thought it a bit odd there was a letter regarding what to do if you “get sick” but made more sense after 4 of 7 of us had a gastrointestinal issue and down for a day and a half. Seems that this could be an ongoing issue for the resort? We did not drink the water from the tap, only bottled water. Not sure if this was food related but sure made you not want to eat the resort food. Overall beautiful weather and enjoyed relaxing at the pool!

The room was romantic and spacious & the ocean view was exceptional. The customer service was always on point. The beach was nice with opportunities to go snorkeling, fishing, and spending the day on the water visiting the small villages. We traveled adults only but definitely a fun family friendly resort. Largest zip line course in Mexico only 15 mins away. Thank you Barcelo!

Rooms were very nice, and huge! There was an entire separate sitting area that was great. The pools were nice, drinks strong, and vibe was very chill. The beach was a little small, and the restaurants were a little hard to get a seat at. The Buffet was one of the best I’ve had at any resort.

Advertised as a great resort, but our room had issues from the first day. Not well maintained, in need of deep cleaning, lighting issues, electrical issues and in general, not prepared to receive guests. We booked for seven nights only to find upon arrival, that we could only reserve a restaurant three nights and the rest of the meals had to be eaten in buffet. My wife and I both got food poisoning on second and third day respectively. Housekeeping was poorly done each day. Nice reception by employees at most areas of resort. Great bed, nice views and nice pools.
