Staff at the hotel was polite. On the other hand, the restaurant/beach attendants were not. They were pretty rude especially when it came to the beach chairs. They threw our towels out so they can seat other people there even though we were in the “correct” area. The location itself was central and walkable to stores, restaurants, etc. The room was comfortable and the ac blew at a nice temperature. Shower could use more pressure as well as the toilet flush.Top floor terrace has a nice view of the Malecón. Overall nice stay at a clean, customer focused (hotel staff) centrally located hotel on the beach. Might stay here again. Recommended.

The room was really beat up. Couldn’t close doors without forcing them. Toilet wouldn’t flush without at least 2 attempts. lol not big poops. The WiFi was a joke. I just gave up on it. The staff was great, attentive and made the stay better. I wouldn’t stay here again without major improvements. Sorry to be harsh but there are better places to stay at the same price.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The relationship with Si Senor restaurant needed to be improved. We got hassled for walking through, and for wanting to lay on the beach out in front of the tables to the water. We went elsewhere to lay out and enjoy a beer.

I will preface my review with *we would - and actually hope to - stay again*. The Pros for us win out. :) The Pros: Super helpful staff, spacious room, lovely rooftop terrace, great location, amazing views, fun walkable area with great cafes, bars, and restaurants, beach loungers provided to hotel guests (there aren’t many, so go early to get one). The Cons: The rooms are in need of a facelift - very dated. The room was generally clean, but the bathroom could use a deep cleaning for rust and residue buildup. The pillows were quite lumpy, and the linens were laundered but some were stained and dingy. The most disappointing thing for us was how uncomfortable the chairs on the balcony were. We had the most amazing view of the beach, pier, and ocean, but sitting for long in the provided chairs was out of the question. Replacing those chairs with comfortable ones would be a game changer.

Ok to be honest, the hotel is outdated and I don't trust the ads and pictures. Staff are great and the location is the best! We stayed at the Emperador Hotel and, based on that, we were allowed to use the private beach for free. The restaurant staff didn’t let us use the beach and demanded money, which we weren't supposed to pay because we were staying at the hotel. At the same time, they were letting people who were not staying at the hotel use the private beach and pay! They are all ripping off the customers. Terrible!

We are usual customers for many years and very satisfied with the hotel and employees, time had changed and the only problem was chairs on the beach since Si Sinor restaurant want to charge 100 pesos per day. We complained to the hotel reception so they set up few chairs way in the back not in the front with sun otherwise I love Emperador very much.

Great area, did not like the limited space and time to lounge on the beach using hotel chairs. They remove chairs by 330 to prep for dinner tables. Very small area to relax and sunbathe. Suite was perfect for four girls. Very noisy area and walls must be thin due to being able to hear guests next door. Area is great and walkable to malecon and great bars, cafes and bars.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed in this hotel and we love it. The staff is always accommodating. The rooms are basic; but the beds are comfortable. Location can't be beat! I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms facing the ocean are worth the extra $$.
