We love this place, the service is always great and we’ve back here a few times. The only negative was that the restaurant options were not great. If you wanted to eat at a restaurant you had to wait until the day you wanted to eat there and go wait in line at 5pm to make reservations. There was only two open to choose from. We ate at the Italian place one night and the buffet the rest of the time which was decent food but the ambiance wasn’t great.

The pools ca pieces are awesome. So many that can please children and adults alike. It’s a huge property so fue expect a lot of walking. Right by the beach so even better. Restroom access was not pleasing, not enough public restrooms they were far from the pools specially for a kids and elders.

Virtually everything was outstanding. We watched 2 great shows, played plenty of fun games, enjoyed the pool and ocean, and of course food and drinks. The only 3 downsides we can think of are the attempted forced attendance to the vacation club presentation, the maid service (we were routinely left with virtually no toilet paper in one of our bathrooms, and a couple of times no towels in one of the bathrooms as well) and the pack of availability for water activities (purple flag almost the whole week, yet surrounding resorts were allowing their guests to use kayaks, boogie boards, etc).

Our Vacation Club Manager is already following up with your comments. In regards to the inconvenience with your housekeeping service, we would have loved to know you needed toilet paper and towels, as we would have sent them immediately. We have concierge service available to assist you since 7am until 11pm every day and a Manager on site 24/7. We apologize for any disappointment you may have felt about the denial of water equipment. However, this is for your own safety, we cannot lend any kind of equipment when there is purple flag at the beach, we do this to avoid any accident as our guests` safety is our priority. Thanks for your comprehension. Our best wishes, your family at Marival.

It was a good time except at check-in. They try to convince you to attend a meeting to purchase a timeshare at their property. I had a reservation for a resort and did not want to be bothered with a timeshare presentation. We told them over and over for about 20 minutes that we were not interested. We just wanted to relax and spend time with the family. When they finally accepted the fact that we weren't going to sit through a presentation they became very unwilling to assist with anything. The service outside of the lobby staff was excellent though. If you use the American dollar, bring several small bills. Tips are appreciated by the staff and they are very attentive if you tip well. I would recommend a different approach by the lobby when guests arrive. Offer the opportunity to attend the breakfast about the timeshare, outlines the free gifts that will be received if you do attend and when someone says no thank you, DROP IT and let them move on with their vacation.
