Pros: Heated kids pool Heated pool Grounds clean Cons: Customer service is terrible- no greetings, no smiles from most of the staff. Total 3 staff actually smiled the rest looked unhappy. Rooms are outdated The faucets were loose and squeeky Water pressure on the sink was weak Reservation process is inefficient where you have to book the day before and early in the morning. Food was not good Pool restaurant required you to be dry to enter so there is no food access until you're dry. Beds were hard.

If you are not a member or “socio” of their hotel their customer service is horrible. They have preference for their members- so you cannot enjoy 3 sections of the hotel if you are a non-member. Their check-in/out process is poor- only 1 or 2 receptionists available. They offer “day passes” thus an overflow of people in the resort. Not too much selection in their “buffet” area in addition to food was at room temperature. Rooms need to be updated- I stayed in building 10 ( per staff it’s one of their original buildings) which was attached to water pump room which always sounded like you were on an airplane. Lastly, we go to relax for our vacation-mowing the grass at 7 am?? Really?!!!

Our stay was disappointing. Check-in took over 45 minutes with staff who seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly, followed by a very pushy membership sales pitch insisting everything is “basic” unless you upgrade. Although we arrived at 3:00 PM, we didn’t receive a room until after 9:00 PM. The first room assigned was still dirty from the previous guest, causing further delays. The resort felt overcrowded, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, and noise levels were consistently high due to loud pool music and a wedding on the property. The photos on the website do not match the current condition of the resort. The property looks worn and outdated, as if the pictures were taken many years ago. Food was just okay. The only true positives were the nightly shows and the activities staff, who were genuinely engaging and enjoyable.

The staff were not helpful when asked questions. One woman in particular did everything she could do to ignore people waiting in line. We took kids and they gave us an agenda of what was available. Our kids wanted to do the mini talent show. On the paper agenda, it said it was one day, but the online version said it was a different day. Either use a paper agenda or tell folks to use the online version. The room, especially the bathroom, was very dated, lots of stains on the counter. Our room was 1738. Some days the music was so loud at the kids' pool that we had to wear ear plugs to get any rest. The Amalfi restaurant was great and the staff in it were very helpful. e will definitely never go to this all inclusive again.

The property focused more on upgrading your services and catering to those members who did, Offering separate eating and drinking areas. For an all inclusive resort this was very disappointing. It was extremely difficult to get a reservation for dinner at a decent time and was only accommodated after I complained. After being at the resort for 4 days one of the guests in our groups bracelet came off and he was asked to leave the pool with his child. When requesting another bracelet they refused wanting him to leave the property. Again unacceptable when his name is on the reservation and payment was received. Thankfully he was able to obtained another bracelet but only after they completely stressed the family out. You want to have vacation to make good memories and it should be easy to relax and enjoy your time, sadly this resort did not meet those expectations.

Read this!!!! This place wasn’t what we were hoping for, AC in the room doesn’t work, shower had hair all over the walls! Rooms are tiny and so are beds! They need to renovate! There is only 3 restaurants to eat and the food was good but very busy and long wait ! This is defined like a 3 star hotel, nice kids play area but very crowded and they want you to pay for everything extra! As much as we wanted to love this place we didn’t! Nobody really cares if you happy there or not ! We took the most out of this trip for our kids! Absolutely loved Puerto Vallarta but definitely not coming back to this hotel!

Beach is simply amazing. However, most days the purple flag was up so we couldn't use any of the ocean toys. People were in the water and it was completely safe. Wish we could have used the toys. Restaurants were great! Service was spectacular! Buffet was good too. Rooms are tiny. Bathrooms were not good with glass doors without locks and you could see in. Not comfortable with 3 people in the room. Entertainment at night was fun. Wish there was more activities during the day in the pool. Seemed like the holidays affected day time entertainment. Overall, I like Marival Emotions. Would go back again.

Original room was deep in corner of bottom of building facing the staircase. Bedding was dirty as soon as we went in. We immediately requested assistance and were moved to a different room. Very minimal dining options, especially for picky eaters. Not much for snacks or ice cream. Alexandria at the main pool bar is OUTSTANDING! She alone was a positive experience. Pool was great sized and temp. Cleaned if something happened and other pools to use in meantime. Ocean was clean and amazing. Many "preferred" area chairs/beds not used because they charge for them. May as well allow use to others if not being utilized. Shows were great and start at 8:30pm. For the cost, food, dessert, activities and staff should have been much better. Several room issues, but spent most of our time in the ocean or at the pool. Weather was amazing.

This is our family’s honest review of Marival Emotions, intended to share details that may not be clear in other reviews. As former Riu guests, we found the food and rooms to be average, despite the resort advertising itself as a 5-star luxury property. Compared to similar resorts, the experience did not meet that standard. Check-In: What was presented as a quick check-in turned into a disguised sales pitch for a 90-minute presentation, despite assurances it was not timeshare-related. The process felt misleading and pushy. They were so focused on signing us up that they failed to mention the kids’ snack bar, which we only learned about at checkout. Food & Dining: Limited buffet: no avocados, guacamole, or nut options. Pizza quality was good but inconsistent due to understaffing. No poolside or beachside food or drink service, which was especially inconvenient while traveling with a 2-year-old. Pools & Beach: The heated kids’ pool is nice, and the beach is excellent for families, calm, sandy, and shallow. Rooms: Our Club Room was clean but basic. The minibar was minimal, housekeeping did not consistently restock coffee, and water pressure was inconsistent. The mattress and bedding were uncomfortable, though the pillows were good. Comparison: We visited Friendly Fun Vallarta during the same dates for much less money and found the food, poolside BBQ, and beach service far superior. Overall: In our view, this is a 3-star hotel at best with impressive grounds.

Don't sell me timeshares at the time of check-in, not at the hotel. We mostly were able to eat at only 2 restaurants for the duration of our 1 week stay which became very repetitive by the 3rd day. The other restaurants require reservations on the day before at one of the desks and they say all are booked?? You cannot call to reserve, not from the hotel either. I think they keep these restaurants for the "VIP" customers. Also the timeshare is one of the ways you can become a VIP customer. The room was pretty small even though we booked a grand king room. Seems false advertising. This was our first time doing an inclusive resort and we probably won't be doing it again.
