El hotel nececita mucha remodelacion, la tina de baño estaba tan golpeada y oxidada que mi esposo penso que estaba sucia, no habia agua caliente, las lamparas de noche no tenian la cubierta solo los focos y no servian, dice todo incluido pero habia un restaurante que tenias que pagar, la comida del snack bar la hamburguesa para ser ecxacto me causo una intoxicacion, que perdi los dos primeros dias de mi vacaciones y estuve en cama. Esa fue mi experiencia, pero si esta limpio y los empleados.muy amables.

We got a good deal on this property and that's the only thing that saved out trip. On our first night my sister opened her suitcase after it being in the room for a few hours and there was a cockroach in it which spoiled the rest of the stay. It's as clean as a 3 start hotel can be so don't expect too much. We were able to get chairs every day by the pool which was great but not much in the way of being able to sit in the beach unless you want to sit on your towel and truly I don't know if there would be a penalty for that. The buffet was generally poor but I don't like buffets so maybe it is not bad. Certainly as we got into the weekend it was better but truly heinous on weekdays. Don't plan to eat at the restaurants because you won't be able to get a table. They only let you reserve the morning of, and every day we were told it was full and to try again tomorrow. Again all ok but I've learned some lessons booking all inclusive from this experience. Pictures do not match the aged property and rooms.

On our first night we were given the wrong room with two beds instead of one. There was sand all over the floor and some of the lights didn’t work. The bathtub was rusted and water pressure was way to strong the sink would splash back.

This is a great resort. The food was good and the location is walkable to the Malecon. The bathrooms in the rooms and in common areas need updating. There are 4 floors (100 steps) and no elevators. The 4th floor penthouse is large and the balcony is huge with table, chairs, and 2 loungers. The staff are awesome! I would stay again.

My husband & I stayed 19 days, 4th floor 1 bdr suite. The good: 2 bathrooms, amazing water and pressure, staff worked very hard to provide a good experience, Mexican sunset Festival dinner around the pool (oceanside) was incredible!! Such a lot of work by staff to set up, & the dancing stage show was fantastic! Only problem with that- was communication for that event was never highlighted or communicated to guests. Food was very good, pool gorgeous, beach accessible. There are two buildings, main reception one hosted buffet dining, Italian restaurant. Also has a smaller quieter pool with childrens pool. The not so good.. uncomfortable seating - in rooms and main area and all in need of upgrade; no WIfi except in lobby, lighting in living room and dining room suite dim and not enough; lighting in coffee shop also dim; music around the ocean side pool often at times, too loud, Ventilation in rooms also very loud. Shows every night also at same pool, also frequent and for those facing the pool.. loud. Tradeoff: fantastic views and sound of ocean waves. To compare.. we have stayed at Villa D Palmar (beautiful grounds but also dated rooms), Grand Miramar (gorgeous but inaccessible- only by car), and Hotel Mio.. very nice, but restaurant only for breakfast or poolside apps).. So tradeoffs: At the Pelicanos, great location, nice views, 2 pools, good food, great water pressure, comfortable beds and linens & especially really great staff. Bad, no Wifi, dated furniture, loud music.

I loved our stay! They had a lot of food options all day long. I loved that they had a kid pool my son had so much fun as well. In addition, I loved that we were able to access the other properties as well for shows and beachside. We loved our stay and will be back soon! Muchas gracias.

Great service, very great service. Wifi in the rooms were spotty, that’s the only thing. Plus having only one buffet and one restaurant, we seemed to gravitate to the buffet for omelettes and tacos that would be freshly made. Get up early and claim your chairs by the beach, and be sure you leave a personal item or they will clear it after 45 minutes.

Overall it’s just average. Pros: Located in a good place with bus stop and shops near by. Food and surroundings are nice. Cons: Room is not as expected. Bathroom isn’t good. Having an elevator would be helpful.

Beautiful area!! Can’t beat waking up and hearing the ocean waves! One morning we even saw a whale from our deck!! On Expedia it says elevators and further down no elevators. There are NO elevators. And there is also not the laundry that is advertised. The rooms were clean though a little musty, the high humidity probably makes that impossible to avoid. It was really loud in evenings. The part near the lobby would’ve been quiet but the part we were in, had views of the ocean but also overlooked the pool where music blasted from 1pm til show time (also loud) at 9pm. The keys constantly quit working so we’d have to walk over to the lobby. The food was okay. Breakfast was good and the made to order egg station had the nicest lady there most days! The other meals and snack places, it was okay. Nothing to write home about but a good break from cooking 3 meals a day. The people made the stay good. Good servers and desk people and housekeeping staff!

There is no Wi-Fi in any of the rooms. So you have to stand out in the hallway or in a common area. Just a bummer so I can't get work done laying in bed lol The rooms are average, you have to walk across a parking lot and down to a common area to go to the beach. There's barely any chairs on the beach just so you know. The garden area is nice and aesthetic. Love the kids pool. Food is not very good and minimal options should be a two out of five star hotel
