7Manata is made up of two houses (called '7UP' & '7LY'), each with a downstairs apartment - called '7DN' (under 7UP) & '7LO' (under 7LY).

7UP has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, with 7DN below as an additional 1 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom.

7LY has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, with 7LO below as an additional studio 1 bathroom apartment.

All are listed on this website as one complex called '7Manata'.

7Manata comes with magnificent helicopter-like 270 degree views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain Ranges. These have to be seen to be believed, are constantly changing, and are not called helicopter-like for nothing!!!

7Manata is a 20-year-old four-star twin house complex with two kitchens in 7UP and 7LY, 2 kitchenettes in 7DN and 7LO, several living rooms, 4 indoor car parking spaces, 8 bathrooms and 10 bedrooms in total, wifi throughout, 2 outdoor spa pools kept at 37 degrees and sleeps up to 22 adults comfortably.

7Manata is five minutes by car from the Queenstown CBD and Queenstown waterfront, a 5 minute bus ride, or a nice 20 - 25 minute walk through the beautiful woods along a well preserved path or along the footpath beside Fernhill Road with awesome Lake Wakatipu views into town.

The upstairs Master ensuited queen bedroom in 7UP, the 7DN Master ensuited queen bedroom and the 7LY Master ensuited queen bedroom all have 5-star Lake Wakatipu and Remarkables views, as do both balconies at 7UP and 7LY.

In addition to the main 7UP ensuited master queen bedroom, 7UP also has three additional bedrooms - a double bedroom, an ensuited twin or double bedroom and a single bedroom, all with access to the main spa bathroom and shower.

In addition to the main 7LY ensuited master queen bedroom, 7LY has another three bedrooms - a double bedroom, an ensuited double bedroom and a twin parallel bunk room, all with access to the main 7LY bathroom. 7LO (below 7LY) is a large ensuited studio apartment with a kitchenette which is set up as a double bedroom plus two single beds.

Both kitchens and both kitchenettes have modern kitchen facilities including four refrigerators of various sizes, jugs, toasters, cutlery, microwave ovens, etc. Both houses have 3 phase power, and continuous 24 hour hot water heating for guest use.

On the street behind 7Manata (not visible) is a hotel and restaurant, convenience store, another restaurant and a take-away.

Our prices include all utilities, commercial cleaning prior to each guests and fresh linen. We also offer four 7-seater 4WD Toyota Prado's for the exclusive use of guests for golf course and ski field access.

Our normal minimum stay is 7-day bookings, preferably from Saturday to Saturday.

Family get together

Took my children and grandchildren to Queenstown for our annual get together. This house has everything we wanted. Most spectacular is the outlook over the lake with the snow capped Remarkables behind it. Just stunning. The house had a spa and plenty of room for large dinners. Expresso machine was good and everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Guy was our contact and helped promptly with all our enquiries. Nothing was a problem and hope to return again same time next year.

Holiday with friends

From the beginning communication with Guy (the host) was fantastic. Response time was almost immediate and instructions about our stay very thorough and clear. Guy went above and beyond helping me with any enquiries about activities, locations etc and also gave recommendations about restaurants, stores and much more . Being in a large group of 16 and away with 2 other families the sleeping options and configurations were endless and everyone was very comfortable as there was so much space in the houses. Accomodation was very clean and tidy on arrival with plenty of heating throughout the house on the very cold days / nights. The vehicles were an added bonus and were used on a daily basis and very much appreciated too. Only a short 5 minute drive to town the location was perfect and the views were incredible. It felt like a home away from home and we are definitely looking at making this a yearly holiday, we can’t thank you enough .

What a View

Best views of the lake. All the amenities you could ask for even 3 vehicles to use which came in very handy. We had 15 of us and there was more then enough space. close to town by car. Excellent place to stay for a large group, definitely would book and stay again.

Fantastic home that provided ample room and privacy for an extended family of 22. Incredible views and amenities in this double house that made us feel immediately at home. Guy was an excellent host and couldn’t be more helpful with all aspects of our stay. A wonderful week was enjoyed by all. Spectacular Location for Destination Celebration

After searching throughout New Zealand, 7 Manata was the best venue for our celebration. All 22 of us were able to stay at one property and have a dinner party on site with a fabulous view. Photos don't do it justice, you have to see the ever-changing light on Lake Wakatipu and the mountains. 7UP has a spacious kitchen and living room where we could all gather comfortably. The kitchen was well equiped with everything you need. The 3 Utes (4x4 Prados) were a huge bonus, making airport logistics and trip into town easy. We slept 22 but check with host, as the floorplan and bed configuration we had from the web was not up to date. 7LY, next door to 7UP, is more of a basic space. It does not have a living room space and the kitchen is not as well appointed. Three bedrooms share one bathroom. However, there was plenty of room for all guest in the common spaces in 7UP; Plan to hang out together there. Guy was incredibly gracious and helpful in our planning. He was extremely responsive and flexible. He accommodated our caterer and all of our requests. We would not hesitate to book again.

Hit the spot

Houses are beautiful. Guy was really easy to communicate with. A few issues that he was more than happy to assess moving forward. Related to the limited down time the property has and lack of honest responses i think. 7LY is not as nice as 7UP but with a couple of basic fixes and updates I think it'll be close and a nice hide away from the main house. Views are fantastic and entertaining areas are good too. Would stay again.

Amazing Stay

Amazing stay with an amazing host, location definitely boasts a stunning view. There are so many positives about this holiday house. One of the best features is the ability to house a large number, we had a total of 16 during our stay and still had spare rooms/beds. Well kept and clean location. The fact that 3 Toyota Prados were provided is actually amazeballs, really helped so much on our trip especially for our winter stay, we used them to head to the snowy mountains and into town. I would not under state the toiletries, all bathrooms came with the standards shampoo,conditioner,body wash. I believe everyone would have gotten 2 sets of towels (bath/hand/floor/etc), small things like this make the stay that much better because really you are on a holiday and unless you're getting hotel services, extra clean towels really make the experience that much better, mega appreciated, particularly for uses like the two spas available. Really large living space definitely suitable for large group.

7 Manata really works for big groups with common and private areas. We were 3 families and 4 grandparents and 2 adults. The access to the vehicles together with the accommodation, and views, and location make this a very special package. We spent 2 weeks. Although it is a lot of money it actually works out to be excellent value for money and quite reasonable per person. Guy is a good host and 7 Manata lived up to expectation. We had a very memorable time.

We had the pleasure of staying at 7M for the past week for a family holiday in Queenstown. There was 22 of us ranging from grandparents to babies and the property was perfect for our group. The inclusion of the cars is amazing and takes the stress off relying on public transport. Check in and out process was very seamless and picking up and dropping the cars off was very easy. Guy is a wonderful host, very accomodating and replies quickly with any questions we had. 10/10 stay and will definitely book again if we come back to Queenstown.

Family stay at 7 Manata

Fabulous time here for 10 days. 12adults and 7 children from 3 to 10 years. Plenty of room for all. 3 vehicles suited us perfectly. Guy, the host, was always quick to respond to any questions. We thoroughly recommend staying here.

Family holiday in Queenstown

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. Spectacular views that cannot be adequately described in words. Plenty of comfortable accomodation to house multiple families and still enjoy privacy.communication with the host was efficient and accurate. We loved it!

What a fantastic holiday! Amazing views, super spacious and so comfy. And the icing on the cake, the 3 seven seater cars. This house perfect for our three families. Guy was a fantastic host. We can’t wait to go back.

Suited our needs perfectly

For a group of 50 something men on our annual reunion this accommodation suited our needs perfectly. Plenty of space for everyone to get their own bed and large living and deck areas for us all to congregate in. our host guy went out of his way to help us with all our requirements and having use of 3 4x4 vehicles was an added bonus that gave us lots of flexibility. Would definitely consider staying again. Thanks!
