Staff is nice but overwelmed. Pool is decent. Twigs, the Restaurant near by, is nice. I didn't like: Old vending macines only accepting cash. The gym is minimal, too bad, and too old. No water in the gym, no towels either. No weghts at all only 1 machine and three trail. Front desk staff have to deal with checkins and telephones so they are most of the time on the phone and the customers waiting (not their fault, they do the best they can). Furniture and carpets are old and wored out. Not enough electricity outlets.

This property is very old and is in desperate need of updating. Although the room appeared somewhat clean, the shower was so old it didn't feel clean. The carpet throughout the hotel desperately needs cleaning! The window sheers were torn and there is no room safe. The breakfast was very good and ample. The onsite restaurant was good and convenient. Staff couldn't have been more curtious as well as the free shuttle to Mayo. For the price, this hotel served our purpose and would stay again if necessary(hope not).

It was just a wonderful experience and stay. The staff was great, the room was large and comfortable, it was walking distance to the Mayo clinic but transportation was great if we wanted it. Just enjoyable all in all.

I appreciated the personnel and helpfulness of the staff when checking in/arranging a shuttle ride. Also appreciated that there is a gluten free dedicated restaurant on site, with options of room service, dine in, or pick up. My only complaints would be that there was no way to turn down the wall air conditioner below 70 degrees and the bed was rather hard. The parking lot is not handicap accessible- had to park up a hill behind the building and walk down with my cane and luggage in tow on the driveway. One could be dropped off at the front door but no valet parking so solo travelers such as myself would be out of luck. The other parking lot was across a busy road. Still, since they are close to Mayo, and that they have floors dedicated to patrons with pets, I would stay there again.
