KC HOUSE Cozy Country Home. Enjoy the country life!

Relax with your family or a few friends at our ranch located in a peaceful, country setting. Whether you need some time away with friends, or a family vacation, we have you covered. You can stay in the unique ranch themed house or head off in almost any direction and find yourself at a country bar or restaurant. Within a few miles, there are golf courses, wineries, country bars, floating down the river and lots of other things to do! Enjoy free day passes to Lake Summerset where you can enjoy the beach and pool upon request. There is also a super fun sports bar and bowling alley! We even have stables if you wish to bring a horse! In the winter, the snowmobile trail goes right through our property. KC House is also perfect for small events like a girls or guys weekend, a baby or bridal shower, or any number of other celebrations.

Guests have full access to the house/deck/ patio/yard. (Excluding horse areas such as barns, stables and arena)

The fourth bedroom is an open floor plan loft. This has a queen bed, sofa, chair, and television. It is beautiful and spacious, but we want our guests to be aware that there is no door or full wall dividing that space for privacy purposes.

The fifth bedroom is outfitted with two-twin size folding beds (one bed features a five-inch thick mattress and the other is standard) This room is located just around the corner from the family room on the bottom level and is more of a sleeping area, not an additional room with a door. ALL OTHER BEDROOMS ARE PRIVATE WITH DOORS.

We have horses on the property and are a full boarding facility all year long, as well. We feed & tend to the horses daily as well as other horse owners. You may see them entering the stable area or arena. This will not disrupt your stay and will only be in the barn & stables areas.

FITNESS AND EXERCISE - If daily fitness is a part of your routine, please ask about our gym located in Freeport, approximately 20 mins away. (Pretzel City CrossFit and fitness) We would be happy to accommodate you with a day pass during your stay. SAME DAY CHECK IN MAY BE AVAILABLE, MESSAGE ME TO CHECK!

NO FIRES INSIDE THE HOME OF ANY KIND

ALL OUTSIDE FIRES MUST BE IN DESIGNATED AREAS SUCH AS THE FIRE PITS PROVIDED BY OWNER

We had a great time staying here! The place was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The KC Ranch house was perfect for us to spend a week visiting family in the area. The kitchen was well appointed, we even used the wood pellet pizza oven... it was fun and made for delicious crust! The bed and bedding was comfortable and cozy. Kristi even had a Christmas tree and decorations up to make it feel like home. We'll definitely be returning!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Gorgeous home, very spacious and comfortable. Perfect for my group of girlfriends and our cozy weekend getaway. Lots of thoughtful details throughout the home show the hosts really care about their guests and their experience. We especially loved all the snacks and the adorable - and very well stocked! - coffee bar. And the hot tub was a huge bonus. A beautiful property as well. We enjoyed watching the horses from the windows and the host was sweet enough to show them to a few of us up close. Overall, we felt very warmly welcome and are already planning on going back next year. Thanks so much!!!

An amazing ranch. The house was perfect and so comfortable for all of us! The peace you get in this place is priceless! The breathtaking views are amazing and the property manager made our stay extra special with the horses. My family and I enjoyed it so much we will come back.

My childhood friends and I do a girls trip every year and this year I was so happy I chose the KC House! Kristi was an amazing host, offering suggestions of things to do around the area, and was very welcoming and friendly. It is a beautiful house and property. Kristi puts a lot of thought into personal details around the house. The horse photos in the basement bathroom were a favorite. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Loved this house. Peaceful property with beautiful views. Very clean. Tastefully decorated for Christmas. Well stocked kitchen. Hosts very friendly and accommodating, too. Ample sleeping space, beds very comfortable. However, only two bedrooms are truly private. Not ideal for light sleepers. Overall, our family of 10 adults had a wonderful time making great memories!

Relaxing rural location

Down a lovely side road, enjoyed horse and star watching There was an outdoor pizza oven that was perfect for our group. Great spot for family and friends get together. We sat around on the porches and talked and sang and played cards and laughed a lot. Good internet access so the weekend football could be on in the living room. Kitchen very well stocked with pans, serving bowls, even a crockpot, felt more like a home kitchen than a rental. Already talking about making this a yearly get together spot!

Friends float weekend getaway

We had an opportunity to stay at this property when we planned a float trip at nearby S and B tubing. The house is even more beautiful and sprawling in person. It was immaculate and filled with little extras and personal touches clearly meant to make your stay the best it could be. The property was well maintained and the owner even allowed us (with her permission) to meet and feed the horses in the stables on the property. The house more than accommodated our party of 10. We will be booking another stay soon. Cannot say enough things about our experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away

More than we imagined!

Very peaceful! Very welcoming! This was a great place, blending old and new! Our group was 20 - 65 years old. All of the beds were comfy, the kitchen was well appointed. We really loved the outdoor cooking area and the outdoor seating areas. What a view! This would be a great place for a retreat and to unplug (although there is solid wifi and TVs throughout). The owner went over and above. We entered the house to an array of snacks and beverages on the counter. I can't say enough about this property!

Gorgeous country setting!Beautiful, clean, welcoming, comfortable home!Host communication was almost instant, it was so timely!Days prior to arrival, I asked host if a certain item was in the kitchen. . .upon arrival. . .it was on the stove. Sooooooo very grateful for the incredible host, home and attention to detail. Unfortunately had barely any time to enjoy the amenities as we were busy with family wedding. Hope to book this home again to enjoy the hammocks, games, view and relaxation Wish I'd had time to take pics to share here. Next time!

Words cannot describe how beautiful KC House is. This house and the property are AMAZING! The house was gorgeous, newly updated and clean. Our hosts were wonderful. We were greeted by fresh fruit, snacks & coffee. They even provided toiletries. They were always very responsive to my many messages. The property is so quiet & serene. It’s magical there. We loved sitting on the porch watching the beautiful horses in the pasture. If I could move there I would. We spent a fun day tubing down the Rock River from Camp Sweet Minihaha. It’s only about 25 minutes away. I am already planning my next stay at KC House and have recommended it to my friends & family.
