It was just ok. for a 4 star with no complimentary water is mean especially in summer. Service was not so great with very uninspiring breakfast options repeated consistently. This is low standard for a 4 star hotel. needs improvement
My wife and I stayed here three nights while traveling to various locations by car around Rome. The location was convenient to the airport and destinations to the South of Rome, and into Rome. The parking was by the front door and guarded. The room was fine, the air conditioning worked well, the breakfast was fine, and one dinner we ate there also. The staff were hospitable and the place created a friendly and positive experience.
The place advertised a pool. It had pictures of the pool in its advertising. The WiFi did not work in my room. It only worked in the lobby. There was no way to get just a cup of coffee in the morning. Only available if you purchased the breakfast buffet. I would not recommend this hotel.
In the heart of EUR area, close to shopping center and surrounded by green areas. Recently renovated, great value for money!

I’ve been to Rome and stayed in Eur 10 times. Several times at the Shangri-La. Unfortunately, this most recent stay will be my last at the Shangri-La.
When I entered my room, there was a hand towel folded on the sink vanity with what appeared to be vomit on it. See photo. I then opened the “cleaned” toilet (they took the time to put a piece of paper on it to show it has been cleaned) with poop marks on it.
I went to the front desk since I was headed to dinner and told them about this. The gentleman at the front desk seemed to take it seriously and said he would send someone right away.
When I returned from dinner, someone had been in my room because the vomit towel was refolded into its spot and the toilet seat closed - but neither were cleaned. I called the front desk and said at this point it was late and to please move me to a new room. They said there was not a single available room at the property but they would send someone.
A porter - not housekeeping - showed up to my door 10 minutes later. He had no idea what was going on. I explained the situation. He offered to bring new towels. I said someone had to clean the toilet as well. He returned with some spray, sprayed the toilet, and left.
Any decent hotel would have checked to confirm the issue was actually fixed. No one checked before I returned to the room after dinner. No one asked when I checked out the next morning. No one seemed to care.
Goodbye Shangri-La.
Very clean, very inviting reception area. Friendly staff, most of them. Rooms are spacious, maid service everyday.
Points to mention rooms very warm.
Good choice for breakfast although eggs and bacon not warm when kept in the warmers.
Toaster not very good had to put bread through toaster 3/4 times.
Only one restaurant close to hotel which you have to book as busy, but plenty in area if you are keen to walk or have a car for people who have children. Metro 10 mins down the road to hotel, easy to use and tickets are cheap, bus links from hotel are good as well. Great place to stay if you are running the Ostia half marathon everything is on the doorstep of hotel. We had a lovely stay
