Wonderful location on the lake. So relaxing even for a short stay. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen (not that we used it), washer and drier if needed, and great view with unbeatable sunset. Just what we needed!!
Beautiful house right on the water! The house was very clean, well maintained and very welcoming. The stairs were a bit precarious, but were still safe. Definitely something to consider if you have trouble walking or have kids. We brought our two dogs and it was very doggy friendly! We loved our stay!
Very clean and great location. We stayed there to attend a wedding. I was very impressed by how Jennifer was so helpful and extremely quick and friendly to responding to me! Thank you!
It was exactly as described, perfect for our weekend trip. The outside stairs are difficult, but they are upfront about that! Host had great communication
We enjoyed our stay and very much appreciated the heads up about the number of stairs up to the house. It was manageable. We enjoyed the fire pit out back as well. We weren’t comfortable using the gas grill so were happy there was a charcoal grill available. All in all a charming place.

Was a perfect escape for our family. Sadly, the water was very low in the lake, but the owners had zero control over this. The sunsets were still amazing and we enjoyed our time in the space very much. Thank you so much for sharing this home with us. Hopefully, we will be able to book it again soon.
Was only staying the weekend for a wedding. The cottage was nice, clean and perfect location, with the lake right across the street and kayaks available to use. Had good amenities to use, full kitchen and great shower! Jennifer was easy to communicate with and gave great instructions.

Great summer spot!
The lake was enjoyable. If older, please note there are many steep stairs that you need to climb and carry luggage, groceries, etc.up. It could be a challenge for some.
Went ice fishing for the weekend . Wanted a spot near the water where we could unpack from the car. Everything was great. Dock made it easy to get to the water. Would come back again.
We enjoyed our weekend stay very much. Great location and beautiful view right over the pond. Big dock that was easy to use for using kayaks. Lots of towels provided and kitchen was clean with all the appliances and utensils we needed. Downtown Brunswick was a great afternoon excursion.
The attic space is accessed via a ladder through the ceiling, not full stairs. It took us a bit by surprise, and were glad we didn't need the beds up there.

It's camp
Clean but needs some attention. 62 steps staircase to enter should be replaced ASAP.
House was as described and had everything needed for a weekend visit. Practically on the water, central to many things, and not far from the interstate. Would consider staying longer next summer. The long stairway from the road to the house needs maintenance (uneven planks, screws exposed). Parking for a large SUV and a pick 'em up was tight but doable. Dock on the lake was nice, but we didn't have time to enjoy it. Didn't do any cooking there or use the backyard, firepit, or grill. Upstairs loft/bedroom well-suited to young, nimble people.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The listing claims it sleeps 8 guests. But it only comfortably slept 2 adults and there were 4 of us. The attic ladder was difficult to climb and the attic was full of spider webs (and likely spiders). So we decided we would suck it up and share the bunk beds. There were no support slats underneath the mattresses and the plywood bowed underneath the weight of adults, so we felt very unsafe sleeping on them. So we decided to try the pullout sofa, but it wouldn't lay flat. Two of us shared the queen bed (which was fine), one ended up sleeping on a pile of blankets on the floor and the other on the couch. We had booked for 3 nights but left after the first night and booked another rental. Also, the power went out when it rained. We finally found the breaker box and were able to flip the switch. That being said, if you have a family with only 2 adults and young children this would probably be a great spot. The view was amazing.
The house is very camp feeling. It suited the needs we had, but there are a few things that made it a unique stay. Cons: We were warned before arrival that there are lots of steps up to the house. Those steps are also uneven with some boards popping up. So if you have someone in your group with balance issues, that may be tricky for you. Inside the living room and kitchen floors are slanted, which was more comical than problematic. A couple of days in it started raining and a leak presented itself in the one corner of the living room. The kitchen was stocked with most things we needed, but we got the feeling we should be washing plates, silverware and such before using them. We also had to buy paper towels, garbage bags, and coffee filters for the kitchen. Some mice made their presence known near the end of the trip, but we think they just moved in with the cold weather. Pros:Host was very communicative and made sure we felt comfortable reaching out to her. The pond views each morning were very pretty. Probably because we were staying in the off season, but it was very quiet back our lane and we had it pretty much to ourselves. Bedding and rooms felt clean and the house stayed nice and warm.
