"A very pleasant stay at Gite du Jouteau with our family of eleven, our ages ranged from 9 to 76. Surprisingly the indoor pool was a bonus with temps in the mid 30s during our stay allowing us to cool off easily. Very quiet area and a relaxing stay in the Sarthe region of France."

"Really peaceful, lovely rooms and a warm welcome. Really good continental breakfast. There was even a kettle and decent teabags! This hotel is excellent value for money. Immaculately clean, lovely bathrooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable - modern rooms but in keeping with the traditional rustic building. The hotel has an honesty bar where you can get a beer (but not much else) although there's no drinks or facilities to make bake a drink in the rooms. The village itself is very quiet - nothing to do apart from go for a walk. The next village along, Brulon, had a few more restaurants/cafes. We ate in the restaurant next to the hotel - worth booking ahead as it didn't look like they did walk-ins. The hotel booked us a table the day before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again and wish we'd stayed more than one night - if you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful overnight stopover, this hotel is perfect."

"What a wonderful holiday we had at this location, i would highly recommended staying here.The owners were very friendly and helpful.The house was just amazing and the huge indoor pool and jacuzzi were absolutely perfect, we spent most of our days in there.We will definitely be returning here!"

"Staff were friendly. Hotel was a bit basic but reasonable value for money. Room had no air conditioning. Window could not be opened securely. Shower was a bit dated. Bed had a low metal headboard so it was very uncomfortable to sit on the bed and read or watch television. There was no chair to sit on. The room was serviced well however and the staff were very nice. THe food was a good standard."
