Beautiful Waterfront Ideal for fishing and boating!!
This is a fisherman;s paradise with a boat lift, and you are only minutes from the waters of Pine Island Sound. This area is know for some of the best fishing for snook, redfish, trout, grouper, snapper pompano, cabia and more. Make your way to the north past Sanibel, Captiva and Cayo Costa to the waters around Boca Grande Pass, and find the largest tarpon population in the world. After all of that wears you out, why not just relax and fish the sandy flats and mangroves always just minutes away. There are also fishing charter services available nearby.
Cayo Costa State Park and Sanibel Island have some of the most beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Florida. Lets not forget to mention some of most gorgeous sunsets in the world. Local musicians can be found almost every night of the week playing at many of the excellent local restaurants and bars on the island. This whole area gives you the laid back feeling of 'Old Florida' so that everything you do can be on 'Island Time'. No stop lights or fast food here.
Kavaking is wonderful here also, and kayak rentals are available. Bicycle rentals are also close by with great bike paths the length of the island. This well kept canal front home you will be enjoying has everything you need, with an open floor plan living and dining area, and a large sun room screened in area. Nice view of the canal thru large windows and glass sliding doors along the canal side of home. Out there is a new gas grille and a fish cleaning station over at the boat lift. If you have a boat, bring it along and use the boat lift, and there is room on the property to park you boat trailer. The home is also pet-friendly
The place is excellent, with a dock in the back, where we had our jet ski in the water all weekend. There was great fishing, and we are planning to come back.
We spend a great time on the water over the 4th of July weekend. Our family lives in the area so we were able to meet up with them and have a great time together. Home was located in a beautiful area with easy access to boating, swimming and fishing!
We stayed here in St. James City for 3 weeks. The home was large enough for us and our small pets. It is on a canal leading directly to Pine Island Sound in about 5 minutes. Has most everything you need for a comfortable stay with comfortable furnishings. Bring a boat or rent one from Monroe Canal Marina. We knew the fishing grounds and caught Sea Trout, Sheepshead, Ladyfish, Mangrove Snapper along with some other multi species running the area. Quiet neighborhood. Expect some construction to homes and businesses from Hurricane Ian. Hosts are easy to communicate with and accommodated anything we asked for. Would love to return!
House is very nice. We have gone her multiple times and is perfect for boating and fishing. There is a covered hoist. Location is perfect for getting to the big water and beaches in the sound. Bring your boat!
Very nice newly renovated home with covered boat dock set up that worked great for our 22 ft boat, also outstanding location to get to open water! Home had all that we needed for a nice 3 day fishing trip. Laura was super responsive and flexible, ready to go back!
Everything as was pictured and listed! The property manager was super helpful and so easy and nice to talk to at all hours! Would highly recommend and stay again
If you like to fish/stay right in the water, this is the house for you! Ample dock space to fish from, or pull your boat into. The Covered dock and boat lift is awesome. We brought our boat and launched at very nearby Monroe Canal Marina. We drove the boat to several close by awesome fishing spotsâredfish pass in North Captiva, Sanibel Bridge, and Blind pass. We caught grouper and snook. By boat, you are one canal away from Phuzzyâs Boat Shack restaurant also Lighthouse restaurant at Port Sanibel Marina and Grandma Dots, all great restaurants by boat !
Fully stocked kitchen, clean home and lots of outdoor seating to have the great water view when drinking coffee in the morning. Very quiet peaceful neighborhood. Laundryâclean washer and dryer. A/C worked well, just make sure you have sun room porch door closed (push close all way to right).
Great for locals for a fishing stay-cation as well as those out of town. Will recommend to friends
The property itself was nice. Quiet neighborhood on the canal. The kitchen was nice and nicely equipped with everything you might need. The sunroom was a nice relaxing place to eat. The decor was not to my taste (out of date) However, I was not there for the decor.
The only negative that I would say was: If you are a TV person (which we are), the channel selection was awful, like 7 or 8 off the wall channels. I would recommend the owner invest in a better TV/cable choice/package with more channels. If you have children, there won't be a lot of choice.
Overall, a nice place to stay though. We really enjoyed it overall.
The house was very clean. We came with a boat. The boat lift was perfect for our 22ft bay boat. It took a bit for the A/C to cool the house. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.
Not a 3 bedroom, house was at 85 degrees when we walked in.. the ac unit is past its prime needs to be replaced.. slept on the tile floor just to keep cool..
The location was wonderful. Saw manatees in the canal very day we were there. Back patio and deck were nicely landscaped. Pleasant stay. The St James City area is very friendly
We stopped for two nights on our journey to the Keys, to rendezvous with two more adult members of the family The location is ideal for fishermen towing boats and kayaks, parking is easy and generous. The canal in back is a delight to look at and easy to use for fishing. Inside was clean and comfortable with a large well-provisioned kitchen and plenty of seating to lounge in. The main bathroom is a Jack and Jill between the two bedrooms so must be shared for showering, and there is a separate half bath off the rear of the house. We had a lovely stay and would use the house again, we have been visitors to Pine Island since the 80âs and really like the area.
Very nice accommodations for a weekend of fishing. The house was clean when we arrived. Communication with the property manager was easy and cordial. Just a breeze. A+
