Fantastic long weekend in Saint Emilion! Our host Michel was wonderful, super helpful and friendly throughout our stay at 537. Very communicative offering lots of advice on the local area and any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. We were celebrating our anniversary and he could not have done more for us to make it feel special. The room was perfect. Spacious, modern and amazing bath! The grounds were immaculate with a lovely pool and seating area. The continental breakfast was incredible and the best pastries! The location is ideal for the quietness of the region, close enough to the town and train station by car or bike and worked perfectly for our Chateau tours over the weekend. Highly recommend. We stayed at Michelle’s beautiful guest house for 4 nights in June and what a gem of a find it was! From the moment we booked to stay at 537 St.Emillion, communication was excellent and our welcome was really wonderful. Because there are only 3 rooms, it felt very private, peaceful and special. The swimming pool was lovely. The gardens and views of vineyards and beautiful neighbouring villas was to die for. Michelle went out of his way to ensure our continental breakfasts were fresh every day, which included an opportunity to try some delicious French pastries from local French pattiseries, freshly squeezed Portuguese orange juice , the softest and creamiest vanilla yogurt..scrumptious. Michelle pointed us in the right direction of some amazing resteraunts on vineyards chateaux’s, where once again the panaramas and sunsets were indeed very beautiful. Couldn’t have ended our wonderful tour of Bordeaux any better and with such a lovely, friendly, kind host! Merci Michelle.
