FLASH SALE: WINTER GETAWAY SPECIAL: Take advantage of our winter get away special. The nightly rate is reduced to $145.00Cdn/night (2 night minimum) from December 1, 2025 through to the end of March,2026.
Morningside Garden Suite is located on the northeast side of Salt Spring Island and enjoys fabulous sunrises as well as views of Trincomali Channel and nearby Galiano Island. It is a short 8 minute drive from Ganges and is serviced by bus transportation. The suite is fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, small appliances, dishes, cookware and utensils. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player and heat pump air conditioning. The private 4 piece bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination and comes with towels and complimentary toiletries. Self catered breakfasts are provided. There are two decks for the suite, both with ocean views and one having a propane barbeque. The property has two ponds with beautiful flower gardens, fruit tress and peaceful sitting areas to enjoy the peace and quiet. There is plenty of private parking and the suite has its own private entrance with coded entry lock for added security. Morningside Garden Suite is attached to the hosts main house but has its own entrance and is secure from the rest of the house. There is one dog on the property, a King Charles Cavalier spaniel (Loki) who is fairly shy but very loveable.

Relaxing oasis

Hosts were great, sharing lots of information on things to do and places to eat. The suite was so clean and had everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The view from the deck was stunning with the most incredible sunrises.

Perfect holiday retreat on Salt Spring Island!

Perfect holiday retreat! Separate apartment with all amenities in a lovely home with extensive gardens and privacy. Quaint, rustic, warm ambience! Very comfortable bed. Plenty of room and storage space. Self-serve full breakfast included featuring local organic and artisanal fare! Mike and Marilyn are the quintessential hosts, very welcoming, generous, and helpful, while also respecting our privacy. 12/10.

A beautiful space to visit and very relaxing. The hosts were very gracious and ensured we felt welcomed. We were shown the property inside and out. The fridge was stocked with a charcuterie board of strawberries, cheese, crackers, pickles, and mixed nuts along with the makings for a breakfast if you so choose. They do have a Keurig machine and K cups, tea, milk, half & half cream, etc. Bring along a bottle of wine or a favorite drink to settle in and enjoy the beautiful garden and ocean view. So, all in all a well stocked kitchen and bathroom, excellent living space and beautiful location.

Spring Getaway at Morningside Garden Suite

We enjoy exploring new VRBO's and the Morningside Garden Suite delighted us. Our room had all the amenities we could wish for; which made it a wee bit crowded but we moved the dining table and chairs and made the space more convenient. Furnishings were great. The jewel of this VRBO is the gardens which are outstanding and offer lots of places to enjoy the view and the ambience. Our hosts, Mike and Marilyn, were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return to this unique and comfortable VRBO.

Most places you get Garden view or Ocean view, here you get both! Our thanks to Mike & Marilyn, their suite was everything we could have hoped for. Wonderful spot on Salt Spring

We took a November trip to the island to view a sailboat and see the area and we stayed in this extremely comfortable and functional space nestled away on Salt Spring. The view of the channel in the morning is stunning and the hosts, Mike and Marilyn, go above and beyond for their guests and are awesome. They are very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge about the area and its attractions. I would recommend to anyone visiting at any time of year. We will stay here again when we return!

A perfect little nest with an ocean view

The Morningside Garden Suite is wonderful in so many ways. from the million-dollar view of Trincomali Channel to the delicious charcuterie plate provided by the hosts. We instantly felt at home because the suite is so well appointed and furnished -- the kind and knowledgeable hosts really have thought of everythying their guests might need. If you want to chill out while still remaining in range of Ganges and everything else that Salt Spring has to offer, you won't find a better place. We'd love to come back when Mike's amazing garden is in full bloom. The only drawback was the lack of Internet service (the suite's wifi didn't work for our Android phones), but that was actually a plus because it forced us to unplug for at least part of the day. All in all, the Morningside Garden Suite is one of the nicest accommodations we've ever stayed in.

Like staying in a Treehouse.

We loved our stay. On your way to the suite, you walk past amazingly beautiful gardens and a stunning ocean view. Then up some stairs almost like into a tree canopy. When you open the door you feel right at home and the view from the balcony draws you right inside. The suite has everything you need and more. Your hosts Mike & Marilyn are very friendly and knowledgable about anything you want to know as far as driving, walking, hiking, eating or whatever you have come to experience. We would definitely go back.

Absolutely best stay on Saltspring Island if looking for a retreat with magnificent waterfront views, sunrises and clear starry nights and lovingly cared for flower gardens. The suite has all the amenities and comforts you can possibly need. The hosts are so welcoming and generous with greeting basket of fruit, charcuterie and wine! Location is quiet and away from hustle of Ganges but only 10 minute drive away.
