We had a very bad experience with the hotel the room that they gave us was so bad it had bugs on the quilt and had flying ants on the drapes so my wife went up there to talk to them about the room they said they couldn’t do anything about it so we had to get the bellboy to tell them that the room was filthy and there is no way it was sanitary to sleep in there . So we were arguing with them back-and-forth about another room they refuse to put his in another room and less we paid more money. We ended up having to pay more money to get a better room we just cannot believe it the room that they offered us online was not the room that they gave us The room that we seen online that was was supposed to be for us was the one they upgraded and we ended up paying more we just couldn’t believe Plus the food was awful we tried every restaurant in the hotel and it’s canned food out of the box that they mix together and try to serve it to us it so we want everybody to know to be careful because it’s a scam Arthur Niavez ... It is always a valuable opportunity to find out about on our guests opinions, since, it allow us to closely examine our actual configuration, as well as it happens to be a lawful chance to clear arbitray and deceitful information, such as the one expressed on the current review: It is only fair to mention that we operate our resort through strict sanitation processes-fumigation included-, hence, all due respect, this affirmation, is just a plain and simple lie: what it is not mentioned is that the user displayed an open reluctance to pay for a higher category room, since, that was what this guest just wanted, a better room, without having to pay for it. Ultimately, regarding the food topic, it is simply false that we offer "canned food" and it is totally revealing to disclose the obvious dishonest core of this affirmation: "the food was awful we tried every restaurant in the hotel" right, so "awful" that you allegedly managed to try our seven different restaurants, to find out how bad they were... In all fairness, you did honored your threat about trying to provoque a serious damage to our well earned reputation if you were not pleased with a better room perk... Best regards

10 days at Las Brisas Huatulco

Pros: Staff super friendly and very accommodating. Great views of the ocean and great landscape. Room service is excellent. You get 15% discount.
Cons: Bigger TVs. and better A/C.
Excellent customer service, very professional and very, very friendly. The only exception is the Bar by the pool. The guys there have attitudes. We stayed at the Mar location (Bearing building) 3rd floor. So the view of the Pacific was spectacular. In this hotel you either walk, walk and walk or ask to get picked up to take you to the Lobby. We walked most of the time. It was necessary after eating that delicious sea food, traditional Mexican food and the alcohol. Huatulco has small beaches because they are small bays. So, most ocean front hotels have their own little beaches. Las Brisas has 3 beaches to swim or lay to get tan. We didn't eat at their restaurants, we drove to town and outside town to other beaches and to try other restaurants. Super safe area. Big Grocery store called Chadraui, nicer than any grocery store in the US. They bake their bread there daily. All, the sea food is fresh, super fresh. At restaurants you can ask them to show you the fish they are going to cook for you, like that you can see the size and look. NICE. People there work hard and make too little. Their Daily Pay is 80 pesos (4.44 dls) that is the minimum salary there and it seems they all make that, plus they work 6 days per week. So, we ALWAYS tip them. Even 20 pesos (the blue bill, that is just 1.11 US dls) is good enough for them makes them very appreciative. Great area, Mexico is FANTASTIC.

A great weekend in Acapulco

The panoramic views from my terrace were spectacular! The private refreshing pool under the hot Acapulco's sunshine and the view of the Acapulco Bay was one of the highlights of my trip!

Beautiful Beaches ..Poor Service, Food & Rooms

We have spent a lot of time throughout Mexico over the years and Huatulco is beautiful but Las Brisas is another story. We are in great shape so the hiking from our room to pools, beaches, restaurants etc. was not an issue and a cart is available if you don't want to walk the hills. The rooms are quite dated and everything was always damp .. floors, bedding etc. however our housekeeper did a good job, but this is not the complaint. We chose the All Inclusive Plan having just spent two weeks at another All Inclusive in Huatulco where the food/drink, accomodations and especially the service were tremendous. The food here was very poor. The breakfast buffet was often the best meal of the day. Dinner buffet was often dry and two out of four nights the chef prepared spaghetti with your choice of red or white sauce. Here was the real clinch .. when we travel to Mexico we often take US currency that we exchange at the hotels as needed and this has never been an issue. At Las Brisas we were turned down numerous times because our currency either had a "slight ding", was folded and thus had a crease or a small stamp had been placed on it by the bank and if someone had written on it don't even think about trying to exchange it. Over and over we were told we could take it to Banco Elektra and perhaps they would help us. We had already been in this region for over two weeks and none of our other hotels made the slightest issue when exchanging currency. The beaches were beautiful which was a good thing because my husband wanted to leave after the first night and informed management that we would not be returning.

Spacious room with comfortable bed, ample storage, great views, and excellent service.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, fitness center and classes
Overall, Las Brisas exceeded our expectations with its large swimming pools, fitness center, fitness classes--from yoga to spinning, and quiet beach fronts. The restaurants were wonderful and offered varieties of selections. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Because it is built on a hill, they offered transportation to the various accommodations or you could choose to walk. The few downsides to me were WIFI was only available in the lobby. I wish they would have a "deli-type" store for a fast sandwich, yogurts, fruit, etc. And the closest town was a little of a stretch if you wanted to walk to it. We will definitely return to Las Brisas.

Excellent staff and grounds!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, Free breakfast
It was a beautiful place to visit! The grounds combined with the friendliness of the staff were unbeatable! There was as much or as little activity as you wanted to do. The only negative would be for an older person, like my mom, even though there were shuttles to take you everywhere, there was still some walking up walkways or stairs which made it a little more difficult for her. Otherwise, it was an amazing destination resort!!!
