I come to the area about twice per year to visit family and I always stay at the Carlisle Inn. The rooms are impeccable and nicely sized. The sound-proofing is really good. I'm usually on the 2nd floor and cannot hear any sounds between rooms side to side or above and below, and hardly any sounds in the hallway of people passing. The whole interior is very serene. The free breakfast is great too.

I booked the Inn because it had a 10 star customer rating. The staff was extremely pleasant. The hotel was very nice. The free breakfast was good but they had the same choices every day. They had International Delight coffee creamers which you don’t find at most hotels. We had a corner room which was very large and had a full kitchen with washer and dryer which was great. You can buy Tide Pods at the front desk for $1.00 each. I only have 2 complaints. 1. There were black hairs in the shower and when I picked up the tub mat to lay it in the shower it also had black hair all over it. Very gross. 2. The lighting in the bathroom is very dim so we would get ready in front of a mirror in the living room. There was also a lightbulb that needed to be replaced in the bathroom. We requested it about 3 days into our 6 day stay but they never put a new lightbulb in. The location was very good. Close to St. Armands Circle which I highly recommend for food and shopping. We took a drive to Venice which is only about a 25 minute drive. There is also a walking trail behind the Inn which leads to an outdoor sports complex where we played pickleball. They have a restaurant on site across the parking lot which was very nice. What the site does not tell you is that this is an Amish hotel so there is no bar on site and no alcohol at the restaurant. Although there is complimentary breakfast every day I would recommend going to the restaurant and trying the buffet breakfast.
