The hotel was esthetically beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly most of the time however, upon check in, the individual helping me seemed inpatient. She rattled off instructions so quick that I didn't understand so I asked her for clarification, which seemed to annoy her. Also, kids running and yelling down the hallway at 2 a.m. was unpleasant despite signs indicating quiet hours (not enforced). Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful. I would give them a second chance to be great.

The room was a good size with a beautiful view. The bathroom was small and in need of a good scrubbing. There was mildew around the bottom of the shower.

We were welcomed when we checked in. We received our keys to the room, but once we opened the door, it reeked of mold/fungus, and we immediately returned to the front desk to request a change in rooms. We were told the hotel was COMPLETELY booked and there were no rooms for us to switch to. Hyatt offered to send housekeeping up to spray Febreeze throughout the room. They said they couldn't comp our room as we used a third-party to make a reservation. A $25 food allowance was offered, but we never received it. What was unsettling to me was the feeling that the hotel was NOT fully booked, and we should have been moved to another room. The condition of the room we were assigned was definitely a health hazard - we did not want to sleep in a room filled with mildew-laden air. We called a nearby hotel that had an available room and were immediately welcomed, with the staff offering us a glass of champagne upon check-in. The Hyatt said nothing as we turned in our keys and left. I would not return to this location and would not recommend this Hyatt to others traveling in the Savannah area.

My stay was exceptional. My room offered a wonderful view overlooking Savannah's historic river, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The staff provided excellent service. Tania was particularly helpful in servicing our room; she proactively addressed a minor issue that arose. Sharon, another staff member, was also notably kind and pleasant. Furthermore, all staff in the breakfast area demonstrated high levels of professionalism and kindness. I will be back soon.
