I wanted to fons a secluded and relaxing escape for the weekend. We traveled in for a triathlon in Chattanooga, and this cabin was perfect! I felt so at peace. It was very clean and Rachel was super responsive. There was no cell service, which was fine for us. The wifi worked great.
A great little place to stay. The heat/air was a bit confusing but we figured it out. Hard to keep bugs out sometimes because of outdoor light. The only disappointment was the driveway was pretty rough.
This cabin was in the perfect spot of us. We we in town for a motorcycle event at a near training center. It was so much nicer to stay in a house with all the amenity's rather than camping in early march.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. We explored a lot of the nature trails located within a convenient driving distance from this home. The property in itself was a happy place for a little adventure and exploration, this is with regards to the little trail that leads to the creek. Although it was dried up this time of the year, it was still a nice little adventure to see it. The creativity of the hosts in how they built the home was superb. They had mentioned in their description of the house that they were stone masons and it was amazing to see it in person. My sleep was so much better in this secluded place compared to my life in the busy city. It was a great experience and we are thankful for the host for sharing their home with us.
We are from a big city so this was the perfect getaway. We visited in early October and I cannot imagine what it would have looked like in just a few weeks. The leaves will be stunning! We were barely at the place as the hiking nearby was too good. There was constant activity available if youâd like. We highly recommend Foster Falls for hiking and Top of the Rock for dinner. Note there is no dishwasher so be prepared to clean some :) thank you for a wonderful stay!
We came down to the area to visit family that live in the area. Everything was as described, did have an issue with the knobs on the stove not working. We were able to use one and it worked just fine for us and the meals we were preparing. We did have to get toilet paper as there was only a roll in each bathroom but I didnât expect the cabin to come stocked so that was no issue. The power went out our first day and the owner was quick to respond and keep me updated and it was restored within the hour. Overall, we had a great stay and with having family nearby it is likely we will return. We also had our dogs with us and there is plenty of room for them to run and ply and great trails, we were unfortunately hit with some rain so time outside was limited but great place to stay with pets!
This location was great. The cabin had everything we needed. We encountered a few bugs, but thats to be expected when you're out in the woods. The creek was bone dry, but it was a very short walk to a public access area at the river. My kids loved it so much. They got to wake up and play outside right away every morning. We would stay again. The host was very responsive.
My kids and I loved staying at this little cottage in the woods. It was a quiet and relaxing place that was just what we needed for a quick getaway. There was plenty to do with the numerous state parks and Chattanooga really close by. We ended up going to Ruby falls which is about 35 minutes away, little debbie park (about an hour) and sunset rock. We also loved walking the paths around the property and visiting sawmill creek. The only complaint is the minor damages in the house and the large number of bugs in the cottage. I also didn't realize until after that we had to take our own trash to the dump which isn't a problem, just an inconvenience. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to any couple or small family.
Had a great Wednesday-Sunday experience at the cabin. The air worked great which was necessary because being almost 100 two of the days!!!
The cabin is spacious and had all the amenities we could need.
The beds were comfy. Check in process was clear and check out process very easy.
We will be back the next time we need a family vacation.
Very nice stay!
My friend and I so enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin in the woods with my brand new puppy. The cabin is unique and the woodwork, stone and tile work was impressive. The only drawback was there is no central heat and air and the cabin was cold when we arrived and it took most of our first night to get the temperature adjusted and the entire cabin warm. I think if the host would have started the heating system before our arrival it would have been more inviting and enjoyable our first night.
This was our first Vrbo so we were nervous, but the venue was beautiful and clean and everything we needed. We were attending a wedding nearby so wanted something convenient but could house us. It did not disappoint. We took several walks to the creek and enjoyed being able to spend time together but also have our separate spaces. Our phones didnât have service there but the WiFi was excellent and the owner responded in a reasonable time with a couple questions we had.
