SUMMIT UP — A PRIVATE MOUNTAIN RETREAT ABOVE THE TREETOPS

Perched high in the trees at the end of a quiet dead-end road, Summit Up is a private Smoky Mountain cabin where the view is the whole point. Soak in the private hot tub as the mountains fade to sunset, and wake to coffee on the upper balcony above the treetops. No shared driveway, no cabin overlooking yours, no one passing by — nature is your only neighbor, yet you`re still an easy drive from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

THE SPACE
The main floor centers on a full living room with a stone gas fireplace — available year-round rather than only in the cold months — plus comfortable seating, a queen sofa bed, streaming TV, and board games for easy nights in. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked for real cooking — stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, plus cooking basics, blender, toaster, drip coffee maker, kettle, and a dining table for shared meals. A dedicated workspace with a desk and ergonomic chair and gigabit internet makes it easy to extend the trip and work a day or two. A convenient half bath rounds out the main level, and there`s central heat and air conditioning throughout.

SLEEPING (SLEEPS 4)
Upstairs is one oversized bedroom — the footprint of two — with a private balcony for sunrise coffee and sunset watching. The full bathroom is right across the landing at the top of the stairs.

Three beds for four guests means you arrange it however suits: the kids upstairs on the trundle, or downstairs on the sofa bed with the main floor to themselves — and two couples can take a level each rather than sharing a room. It`s a comfortable fit for a couple, a small family, or two pairs traveling together. A Pack `n Play and booster seat are on hand for little ones. In total, the cabin has 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms.

THE VIEW & OUTDOOR SPACE
The covered lower deck is the heart of the cabin: a private hot tub, a gas fire pit, a porch swing, and deck seating — all facing the mountains. The upper balcony off the bedroom is where morning coffee and sunset watching happen. There`s also a charcoal grill with barbecue utensils for cookouts — the fire pit is gas, so there`s nothing to buy or haul, and the grill is the only thing you`ll need to bring fuel for. All of it sits in a private, wooded setting at the end of the road, with no neighbors crowding you.

IN THE FALL
The ridge Summit Up sits on turns through October, and the view from the hot tub in autumn is why a lot of our guests come back. It`s the busiest month in the Smokies for a reason.

PET-FRIENDLY
Dogs love it here, with room to roam (max 2 dogs, pet fee applies). Our cleaning team is thorough, but if anyone in your group has severe pet allergies, please consider this before booking.

LOCATION & ACCESS
Summit Up sits in Sky Harbor, between the two: Gatlinburg 7 miles, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood 11 miles, all about 20 minutes. Easy access to the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee, while feeling completely tucked away. Guests have private access to the entire cabin and outdoor areas — deck, hot tub, and fire pit included. Check-in is seamless with a smart lock, and your personalized code arrives before you do. There`s free parking on premises and a private entrance.

The road in is a scenic mountain drive with one short, steep stretch near the cabin — guests in sedans, minivans, and loaded trucks all make it comfortably. During peak winter (Dec 15 – Feb 15) or if icy weather is forecast, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended.

GOOD TO KNOW
- No washer or dryer on site. Most guests stay three to five nights and pack for the trip, which works out fine — but if you`re planning a longer stay, there`s a 24-hour laundromat in Gatlinburg, about 20 minutes away.
- A cabin is being finished on the neighboring lot, about 100 yards off through the trees — closed in now, with only finishing work left. No work is allowed before 8am.
- The only full bathroom is upstairs, off the bedroom; the main floor has a half bath. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer are provided.
- No parties or events. Smoking on the decks only; no vaping, incense, or candles inside.
- The hot tub is cleaned and refilled between every guest, so it may not be fully up to temperature on arrival — adjust as needed (never above 104°F).
- We have one actively recording camera overlooking the driveway which records video and audio. Device is on the exterior of the property.
- Bear country: keep food inside, car windows up, and the deck gate latched. Enjoy sightings from a safe distance.

Rental Agreement:
Please note that a short rental agreement will be sent after booking is confirmed. This agreement outlines the standard terms of your stay (house rules, responsibilities, and damage policy) and must be completed prior to check-in.

Pet Policy:
Only dogs 1 year or older and under 60lb allowed. Up to 2 dogs per reservation, and dogs must be crate-trained and potty-trained, and crated when you`re sleeping or out exploring or any time you cannot supervise. Please pick up after your pets. We will charge excess cleaning fees if pet waste is left inside or outside of the cabin.
