Overnight stay

The hotel itself is undergoing renovation but this didn't affect us. Our room had obviously been recently refurbished and couldn't be faulted. We only had a couple of minor observations - check is was extremely busy at 3pm and although breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of choice the plates were cold so the cooked food went cold very quickly - didn't use leisure facilities but they looked very nice.

Centrally located & facilities in working order

The hotel swimming pool was heated and the length of the pool was decent. I was able to get some lengths with the front-crawl done. Other facilities like the sauna and Turkish baths were also in good condition. I had dinner at Grazie, an Italian restaurant 4mins away which I order viaveezu (the former city-taxi app). The hotel is centrally located and the city center is a skip, a jump and a hop away

Lovely stay

We had a lovely two night stay here. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The bar/restaurant was closed due to refurbishment but the front of house staff were able to recommend local places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. We used the swimming pool, steam room and sauna during our stay. Breakfast was nice, had a few options to choose from. The car park was good and plenty of spaces when we arrived. Will definitely be staying again.

Nice hotel to stay at Sheffield

Nice room - spacious and clean. Little bit of construction noise during the day but was ok. Odd stale sweat smell in corridors though? Pool was warm and sauna/steam room great. Had to ask for tea and milk at front desk as room wasn’t restocked one day but service desk was great about this.

Not a four star breakfast,

We stay in a refurbished room which was great. Down side a family room with four in had 2 towels and 1 toilet roll. Wasn’t told when booking car parking is £8, thankfully reception waved this charge. Restaurant is being refurnished too so no evening meal options. But that was fine. Breakfast in the morning was poor, no fresh fruit and all the cooked items were cold. For a 4 star hotel I thought the breakfast options very limited.

Visiting my son at university

The room was amazing and comfortable. There was refurbishment going on while we were there but the was not any disturbance of noise. The only downfall was the breakfast, the hot food often run out with long waiting time for this to be replenished.
