The front desk staff was friendly. The Curtains had something gross on them. The bath/shower was rusting through. The only light in the bathroom was over the shower, the vanity lights were burned out. There was only 2 hand towels, no wash clothes, no bath towels. There was a coffee pot and coffee pods, but the pods were stuck to the tray and encrusted with old dry coffee. The carpet was coming apart where it meets the tile. I didnt think much about that-- until I stepped on it while going to the bathroom in the night and carpet nails poked my foot. Not nice when half asleep. The TV remote was also majorly messed up and gross. Unfortunately the TV was on when we entered the room and we had to use the remote to turn it off. We were informed that breakfast was "grab and go" because Marriot was buying Del Mar and things had changed. Breakfast was not truly Grab and Go, just very limited. A few serve yourself packaged breakfast sandwich in a cooler, that had to be heated, A few breakfast bars sitting on the counter, some bagels and few cinnamon rolls that had been cut in 1/4ths. The bed and bathroom did appear to be clean, thankful for that. My thoughts are, that if Del Mar has been bought by Marriot, they are not concerned with customer satisfaction at this point and are cutting things back, a lot.
