This singular Signal Mountain property on Nearfield Rd offers a total of 40+ acres with bucolic rural mountain views. This home is the perfect home to entertain friends and family. Quiet, private luxury. The interior features soaring vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan, and so much natural light. The chef's kitchen flows beautifully from the living space and features Thermador appliances. Boasting 8,770 sq. ft. of living area with 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and additional sleeping areas this home is perfect for your large gathering or special event space. Sleeps 26 comfortably in beds. The Pines at Signal Mountain was exactly what our family was looking for when we booked our annual vacation. The home had more than ample space even for our large group of 14 people. Everyone had their own private space. Our kids and grandkids enjoyed the outdoor activities. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing actually got in the way of enjoying the space. It flooded in Chattanooga our first night there, but we were safe on higher ground up on the mountain. To be such a secluded oasis, it still was not that far to get to whatever we needed, whether it was stores or attractions. Less than 30 minutes to anything you could want. Overall we had one of our best family vacations to date and although we usually pick a new location every year, I could actually see us returning here again.

Great place for a large family

There was plenty of space both inside and outside for our large group of 18. We loved the outside playground and equipment for the kids in the group, and were very happy with the crib available for our infant! Only wish there was bigger pots / kitchen supplies for large group cooking. Plenty of beds and communicative host / guest manager when we had questions.

Overall, this house was great! We stayed here for a week for an extended family vacation: 7 adults, 3 teens, and 10 kids.PROS:- The space itself was huge! Lots of room to spread out and the living area is simply stunning. There are two living area spaces (separated by a large fireplace) in the one gigantic great room.- Kids loved the outdoor play area- Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware; we cooked almost every night for our entire group with no problems- Host was very responsive. We had a slight issue with one of the washing machines, and the it was repaired that same afternoon.- Internet was great! (Sometimes it's dicey out in the country, but here it was fine.)CONS:Let me preface this by saying that I hate to write anything bad, but I do want full transparency.- There were many (over half?) broken doorknobs to both bedrooms and the outside. My husband went around and fixed at least 5 or 6 interior ones, but some weren't fixable. I know this seems like a silly thing to complain about, but it was pretty annoying.- In order to get to the loft area, you have to walk THROUGH one of the king bedrooms. (I suppose you could go down a flight of stairs, outside, raise a garage door by hand, through the hot tub room, into the garage, and then up an unfinished staircase.) We didn't know this ahead of time, so we had to juggle the sleeping arrangements a little bit. But if you need privacy for all of the king bedrooms, please keep this in mindWould stay here again!

Work retreat

The size and location of the house was perfect for our 7 person work retreat as we all had our own space. Communication was very timely. The house, however, was not very clean and the master toilet was not working. They sent someone that day to replace the entire unit which was fantastic. Several of the appliances in the kitchen did not work. And the ladybugs!!! Thousands of them!!

Massive home, beautiful location, needs some tlc

Overall this place was wonderful. Comfy beds, lots of space. The large deck overlooking the beautiful property, mountain breezes aplenty, takes melts your stresses and cares away. You could not ask for a better spot for a large group. There are no negative surprises. The property is as beautiful as it looks, literally everywhere you look. It’s about a 45 minute drive to a grocery store and local attractions. The drive is also beautiful, mountain switchbacks and all. The place could use some TLC, but the owner seems like the type that will address these things. I would come back, and would recommend.

The Perfect Home for your Family Vacation

Our family had the best vacation at this lovely home! There is so much space for large groups whether you want to relax indoors or hang out outdoors on the playground, volleyball court or putting green. The hot tub was also a popular spot as well! The kids loved the loft and we all congregated there at night to play pool. The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge, 2 microwaves, a huge stove and lots and lots of counter space. I loved the quick responses when I had questions before and during my stay
the communication was outstanding. If we ever visit Chattanooga again
we will definitely stay here and you should too!

Awesome Place

A Great, Spacious House and Property for a large group. House needs some maintenance and upkeeping. One recomendation is to replace the pots and pans and provide larger pots to accomodate a group - the house can accomodate a large group but the largest pot was a 5qt pot and even that was not in good shape. The refrigerator, microwave were top of the line but there was no blender.

4 generations at Christmas

My mother, her 7 children, and their families were able to celebrate together, 5 years after her major stroke. The home is absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the 5 days we spent there and could have stayed longer. The shoe-free policy quickly proved necessary on the dark wood floors and we adapted to the unique, but accommodating space. We were a party of 33, from age 80 to 6. We had to be creative in our lodging but everything worked out well. Some notes: The piano is beautiful, but in dire need of repairs, not just tuning. It is not playable. The 1 bed in the yellow bedspread room was broken, 'repaired" but ultimately was a mattress on the floor. There were random chair legs missing and loose tiles in the kitchen. The high and stationary doors/windows in main living area leaked under heavy rain. Various water spouts and handles came off but were easily reattached. However, none of this discouraged is or would keep us from renting again ❀ Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Annual Extended Family Christmas Trip

Since my Dad passed in 2017 we have made every effort to get both sides of our family together for Christmas to just spend time away from everything. This property fit the bill perfectly. We had 15 adults with plenty of space. With ages ranging from 22 to 82, everyone had their place. Close enough to see the sights, but far enough away to see the shooting stars at night from the back deck. Lovely property.

It was a little out of thw way for alot we wantedto do in the area but not too bad! Rather inconvenient not being able to wear dhoes indoors. Ovens were nasty! Had not been cleaned for a long while! Ice maker in kitchen kept blocking up!

This property is amazing for family gatherings. So many outside and inside games to play, abundant sitting and eating areas, stocked well with all the essentials. Very clean. All the sunshine coming in and access to the back were amazing. Plan to stay again for a family reunion.

Perfect long weekend stay with large group

The Pines at Signal Mountain was exactly what our large group (13) adults needed for our annual long weekend trip. Incredibly spacious, clean, well stocked, private and quiet, and lots of options to keep everyone entertained. Everything was as advertised, and communication with the hosts was quick, clear, and friendly. The only small concern we had during our time was the ladders up to the loft beds were very steep and a little scary for those scared of heights. But it was a minor issue. I would have no concerns with booking this property again, or recommending to friends and family.

Our Signal Mountain stay

We were racing in IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga 2023 and needed a big house as we wanted to be together but at the same time wanted over own space to rest and recover. This place was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the stay. Nice views, quite and plenty of space. The place does look beaten up and could use some TLC.
