Oceanfront Cottage: Where Natural Beauty Meets Modern Comfort

The Creekside Cottage is a newly renovated, modern two-story vacation home situated on a park-like, six-acre oceanfront property known as the Seaward Estate. Historically, Seaward was one of five salmon trap sites along the Juan de Fuca Strait until the 1950s.

Seaward offers a variety of stunning natural landscapes, including two beaches with thousands of feet of picturesque coastline, West Coast forest, and woodland trails. It remains one of the most exceptional oceanfront properties in the Greater Victoria Region. With real estate values steadily increasing over the past two decades, many high-quality oceanfront properties have been subdivided and redeveloped. A large, original oceanfront estate like Seaward—preserved in its natural beauty and historical integrity—is truly rare.

The Creekside Cottage is located beside a small, natural creek and offers over 1,400 square feet of living space. The main floor features an open-concept layout with a living room, dining area, and kitchen. A south-facing wall of floor-to-ceiling windows provides breathtaking views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and the Olympic Mountains. A cozy patio offers outdoor seating, a dining table, and a BBQ for guests to enjoy.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first is a loft-style room with a king-size bed, open to the living space below, with windows facing south directly toward the ocean. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed and three windows—one facing south toward the ocean and the other two overlooking the gardens and ocean to the west. A full bathroom with laundry facilities is located on the second floor, and a powder room is available on the main floor. Additionally, a small attic space accessible from the second bedroom provides the perfect hideaway for young children. A sofa bed in the living room offers extra sleeping accommodations.

A beach house on East Beach provides a place for children to play and adults to relax. Naturally, guests love spending time on the beaches. The East Beach features a flatter, pebbled surface, ideal for walking, while the West Beach offers giant rocks, hidden coves, and secret spots perfect for adventure. Many guests enjoy exploring the forest trails. Benches at the end of the Sunset Trail and Otter Trail are perfect for reading, wildlife watching, or enjoying a sunset. Others like to plan a picnic—whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner—on the picnic deck at the end of the Orca Trail.

The Seaward Estate includes Rose Cottage (Vrbo 1333347), Rowan Cottage (Vrbo 1340568), and Creekside Cottage (Vrbo 2229506). Creekside Cottage is about 50 feet from Rowan Cottage and 200 feet from Rose Cottage. All cottages are oriented with windows facing the ocean. None of the cottages have windows that directly face each other, ensuring privacy for all guests.

The creekside Cottage offers discounted rates:

Weekly rate: $1,212.75 for 7 days ( from January 1st to March 15th only)

Monthly rate: $3927 for 28 days ( from January 1st to March 15th only)

EVERYTHING about this location and management is outstanding. We have pictures of whales, sealions, and many sea animals we have yet to identify, all from this location, often from the window. We spent two wonderful weeks here and did not want to leave. When needed, management was quick to respond and very friendly. The only negative we can thank of is... we had to leave!

This is such a great place to relax and enjoy the property. We spend hours just chilling and watching the ocean. We saw Orcas, seals and otters from the patio and down at the beach. Without a doubt, this is one of our favorite places to stay. Our dog loves it too.

The Creekside Cottage was a fabulous place to stay for a few days right on the water. Checking in was very easy with just the electronc door code required. We were able to watch many boats fishing for salmon and even saw a few whales! The kitchen was decently equiped for making meals

It’s an amazing location overall - an absolutely amazing view from all points, huge private territory including two beautiful and wild beaches - there is no reason to go to other beaches around, you will own even better ones. Our golden enjoyed everything as we did. Check -in, check-out process was very easy and straightforward - thanks to very clear instructions and prompt communication from Wally and Kristi! The kitchen facilities are very good - they everything we needed. It was an amazing week for us. Highly recommend to book it months or even a year in advance because it’s very popular!

Beautiful location with clean, well stocked cabin. Very responsive host! I messaged about batteries going dead in the lock on the door which was not a problem as they had a back up system in place but just to let them know for the next people. Within 2 hours, they had someone over to replace them.

Island getaway

We had a wonderful weekend at Creekside Cottage. The grounds are amazing. We could sit and watch the water for hours. Always something to see out there. The place is perfect as described. Comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen. Everything is well thought out including a nice coffee machine that does both k cups and brewed coffee. Highly recommend!
