I knew going in that for $135 a night, the hotel wasn’t going to be anything special, but unfortunately, it was even worse than expected. We were just passing through, trying to find a place to stay for one night until we could check into our tiny home, and with everything booked for the Red Bull Rampage, we didn’t have many options. That being said, there’s a big difference between an old, under-rated hotel and one that’s simply dirty.
From the moment we walked in, the smell of mold was overpowering. The room was dusty and filthy, with grime in the corners. The shower was disgusting, with hair left behind from previous guests. The toilet paper roll was almost completely gone, and there was even a water bottle left under the bed.
While the guy at the front desk was very nice, that’s honestly the only positive thing I can say. We ended up going to Walmart to buy sheets, Lysol, and Clorox wipes because we didn’t feel comfortable using anything in the room. We stayed out as much as possible to avoid being in the room, and it was honestly just a place to sleep for a few hours.
Never again. It’s clear that the management has no interest in keeping the place clean or properly maintained. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.
