Food was absolutely horrible. Conditions were kind of outdated but not bad for an all inclusive in the Caribbean. Service was friendly but slow . I just personally would not stay again, but then again, I'm used to luxury hotels.

The Royalton Antigua is a beautiful resort. We found the staff very welcoming and friendly. However, the difference between an average rating and a good or great rating is management's (lack of) responsiveness to relatively small issues. Small things such as, 1) a leak in the hall that wasn't repaired the entire week, 2) the jacuzzi for the couples massage has been inoperable for over a month, and won't be operable for at least another month; 3) obviously burned out light bulbs that weren't replaced, 4) the restaurants were out of key ingredients for the entire week (for example, mint leaves, crab cakes), which limited dining selections, 5) there were some occasions when we ordered a drink by the pool, and it never showed up. These items didn't ruin the trip, but having them resolved would have resulted in an above average experience, and it wouldn't have taken much to resolve them. We have stayed at Royalton resorts in two other locations (Mexico and Jamaica), and rated them excellent, so I know the chain is capable of providing that level of service.

My sister and I stayed 5 days /4 nights at the Royalton Antigua 12/5-9/2023. Check in was easy and efficient : given bracelet for all inclusive benefits and as key for our room. Bellboy took us by trolley car to our building and took our luggages to our room. Our room was clean , large and with a beautiful view of the bay. Food was good. 5 restaurants all open with only 1-10 minutes wait to be seated. Service was excellent at all restaurants. Beach was immaculate, fishes visible even with water only knee high. Water aerobics daily at 11:30 am was enjoyable as was nightly entertainment! Enjoyed our stayed at the resort. Located 30 minutes from airport and 15 minutes to capital St. John for souvenir shopping. Gated resort and security insured safety. There was not much outside the gates to do or see.
