The staff across the board are incredibly friendly and work hard. The AC in Clayton, on the other hand, has unfriendly and lazy staff especially the manager of the top floor bar.

Eye candy vs comfort and service

Be aware! We arrived after a long drive, were promptly unloaded by staff personnel and directed to sign on to the PMC parking app for daily retrieval of our car by the valet. We had upgraded our reservation to include pkg, so did not question this. My hotel confirmation email/text did not show this "free parking". There was no voucher, etc. Help from the front desk could not find this either in the booking # when we questioned our charge. So we ended up paying an additional $180 for parking for 4 days. We also had to wait quite a while for the valet. BTW, an affordable parking garage is across the street. The daily buffet is very nice but more expensive than quoted on hotels.com. We also chose a room with a view which was the parking garage of another hotel. There is a microwave in the room but the cups are "non microwavable". The staff are nice but they did not replenish coffee regularly or pick up trash on 2 days. You will love the bedding if you like gigantic hard pillows. It is a lovely hotel in a great location but we will not be back.

So so, but wouldn’t return

We arrived early to the hotel, was told to have a seat in the lobby and wait. Wait for about 45 mins, then was told no rooms were being cleaned atm, so we stored our luggage and left to explore the city. Not sure why we had to wait if no rooms were being cleaned. Not a good start, bad first impression, the check in person wasn’t friendly, no hello, first thing she said to me was can I see your ID, everything after that was ok, not memorable. I will say the staff were welcoming (other than our check in person), we we came back for the day we were told “welcome back”. The room was not cleaned on our first full day but probably bc we didn’t leave the room until late. The other days were cleaned.

This hotel is OK. I was there for an asphalt convention. The whole city was expecting people and tourists. There was no plus on behalf of the hotel (this was a special event). No coffe/tea station (that would have been a major plus) and everything was paid extra. IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. Rooms are ok, nothing special just good photos online. Would look for another option if returning to the city.
