We stayed over the weekend and were really excited about this rental and looking forward to enjoying our stay in St. Louis. Unfortunately, that ended very quickly as we pulled up to the property. We didn’t receive the actual address to the property until the morning of our check-in day and so I wasn’t fully able to check out the neighborhood before actually booking. Due to that, I wasn’t able to see that the property is not in the safest area. It was bad enough that we left a day early. Aside from the location though, walking in we immediately realized that the pictures aren’t everything. There weren’t sheets on the beds, no toilet paper in the bathrooms, dirt on the floors, rotting garlic in the cabinets, noodles on the walls, standing dirty water in the smaller bedroom’s bathroom, rat poop on the chairs in the kitchen, a light hanging from the ceiling in the bigger bedroom, piles of trash on the side of the house, no hand soap anywhere, and I’m not even sure what was in the bottom of the pantry (see pictures below). I contacted the owner about the sheets, the light, the standing water and the WiFi that didn’t work at all, to which he replied an hour later saying that both housekeeping and maintenance would come by and fix everything. The housekeeper did eventually show up but only long enough to throw sheets on the bed real quick. Maintenance however never showed and I never heard from the owner to fix everything else. There’s much more I’m upset about but I can’t type more

The home is in between two vacant buildings. There was trash piled up. Inside the home the floors looked like they had not been clean in awhile-with even a Taco Bell wrapper on the floor. The gnats in the house ruined the food we brought in. There was no internet all weekend; which as a work event was very problematic. The owner said he would send Spectrum out but never was fixed. There were no towels. The owner did have some delivered the next day.

Very clean and inviting open space. We enjoyed even the neighbors, they were so kind and generous. All the appliances and pots and pans you need. Definitely will be recommending this place for others who are visiting Saint Louis.

Worst Experience Ever

The host was meant to send the check in details to us and had not. When I called him to ask for the he kept sending me to voicemail , this was hours before the check in. I sent him another message on the app to ask for instructions for check in and he messaged me back 13 minutes before we were meant to check in saying he was cancelling the booking due to damage to the property from previous guest. This seemed like a lie as surly if he knew he had guest coming in the afternoon he would have had housekeeping at the property earlier than 13 minutes before to cancel. After he told me it was cancelled he stopped all communication didn’t offer any solutions didn’t ask if we had found a new place to stay. He refused to answer the phone to Vrbo customer service for them to cancel it so it took longer for us to get our refund due to his lack of co operation.Terrible communication, lack of customer care . Would never book with him.

Frank's place in St. Louis

Very good price...very nice home. Lacking in many of the specified amenities. Just 1 small container of hand soap, no soap in the bathrooms, two towels for the 3 of us for a weeklong stay. And only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Kitchen was also sparse. The utensils were OK for our stay since we were too tired after work to actually cook but definitely NOT a chef's kitchen! The host offered that he had stuff stolen by previous guests, but for the hefty cleaning fee, those small items should have been replaced. All in all, a good stay & will definitely stay again, But will make sure to bring soap, towels & TP.

Solid stay for cheap; missing essentials

If you are booking this location, bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner, and kitchen supplies. Little to nothing was provide. A few towels and one container of hand soap for the entire house. The double futon is just a couch. I wouldn't bring six to this location but it works well for five. The neighborhood is rough but its St. Louis so what do you expect. Property manager was available and helpful. Overall, very reasonable living but not much else.

New Property with great hosts

The hosts were amazing. They quickly answered any questions and concerns we had. You can tell this is a new rental property, as there was bare minimum kitchen items and some structure issues. I truly believe once they are done fully remodeling that is will be an amazing property. We enjoyed our stay, and any issues we had were addressed immediately.

Very nice remodel with 3 bed room 2 bath Kitchen fully stocked with appliances so made it nice not having to eat out every night Neighbor good was quiet but if you have a large vehicle roads can be tight with cars parked in front of houses Property was within 30 min of almost all attractions

Exactly as pictured

The property manager was very easy to deal with and quick to respond to my messages. The house looks exactly as pictured and it was very homey. It is a very good location for all of the main attractions with it being within 20 minutes of everything. It's also only a few minutes from Illinois so we were able to go do a little sight seeing there as well. This was a little weekend getaway for my husband and myself but we could have easily fit our 4 kids if it were a family trip because the twin bed in the 2nd bedroom has a trundle bed underneath and the sofa will let out to comfortably sleep 2 as well. We would definitely stay here again!
