This 100 year-old historic home is only blocks from Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair Exposition and Summer Olympics.
UPDATED May 30, 2025: Our neighborhood was hit with the May 16th tornado which was 1 mile wide and 23 miles long. Although many homes along its path were devastated, the buildings along our street mainly suffered roof damage, broken windows and uprooted trees. The city has cleaned most of that up and the area is getting back to normalcy. Our building received minimal damage and has been fully occupied.

How to Find our Building: Because we are on a dead-end street, you can only access our address coming from the East. There is no direct access from DeBaliviere Avenue.
Off-street Parking: Access to the parking lot is available after you arrive and check into your unit. A key to your back door entrance will be waiting for you inside. In the meantime, feel free to find a parking spot out front on the street.
Having a full kitchen and dining space was key as we cooked all breakfasts and several dinners during a 5 day stay with 3 adults. We experienced huge swings in weather (53F one morning and 12F the next) and during hot days the rooms were cool and during the freezing days, the older building was drafty but central heating combined with space heaters made it comfortable. The rental is conveniently located within walking distance to world class parks, museums, and MetroLink train to downtown St. Louis. A couples miles away by car is the Delmar Loop with lots of interesting shops (e.g., Vintage Vinyl) and restaurants (e.g., Corner 17). Libby is proactive and attentive host - she manages the property like a pro, making our stay feel like we were cared for and the reason we would return to one of their properties.
The apartment worked well for our family, was clean, and adequately stocked with supplies. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain during our stay, so walking to the Delmar loop wasn't an option, and there weren't many restaurants or places to shop less than a mile away. Also, it was too early in the season for the trolley. The Metrolink was close-by, so we were able to get downtown easily.
We greatly enjoyed our apartment, and it helped us have a wonderful time in the great city of St. Louis. It is nestled in a clean, quiet neighborhood, just across from Forest Park where we spent some of our time. Parking is safe and convenient. The space felt cozy, but also roomy enough for the four of us not get in each other's hair. Beds and furniture were comfortable. The air system might sound a little loud in one of the bedrooms if you're a light sleeper. The kitchen was useful for us to prepare many of our meals, though if we stayed longer I would find it a little lacking in food prep utensils. It is renovated nicely and maintains old row-house charm. Overall we would be happy to come back to stay at Suites in the Lou!
Really cute apartment in a great part of town! Libby was wonderful, communicated quickly, check-in/out process was smooth and easy. It could use a few more/nicer kitchen items, pots/pans. But I like to cook and stayed almost two weeks, so that may be moot for most guests. Loved the location, quick access to the park, CWE, Clayton, loop, downtown, etc. And do yourself a favor and get the chicken âtendersâ from Ocean Grill around the corner! The 6-piece tenders is basically an entire chicken and some of the best fried chicken Iâve ever had :)
We had an awesome stay! Comfortable bed, very clean, ample gated parking. Great base for our plans. Host was very helpful and easy too contact! We would stay again!
Greg-
My three adult children and myself came to ST Louis for a family wedding - the condo was a mile from the wedding and extremely easy access to the metro link which we used throughout the weekend ! The ac worked great and the beds are very comfortable! The pictures are exactly what the condo looks like and it was VERY clean! Questions were answered quickly and very nice to speak too!!
We stayed here and the place is a little different then we are used to. We usually stay in a more modern and updated home or hotel however, for the price and the location this was a good stay. It does state in the description that it is a 100 year old home. I didnât notice that until after we were there, but the host was very accommodating and friendly and checked on us several times. Parking wasnât an issue and the location was close to everything you needed to access. I do wish there was other televisions in the bedrooms and possibly a place to sit outside, but we enjoyed the stay.
Although a bit cozy for 6 people and the couch bed is pretty awful, if you only had 2-4 people, itâs a very nice place to stay. Very convenient to tourist attractions and food. We enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was comfortable and nicely furnished. It was close to all of the major downtown attractions in downtown St. Louis, which made it very convenient.
The neighborhood included 3 story brick apartment buildings with families walking their dogs and plenty of parking. We felt safe going for a walk and parking our car along the street. Check in was super simple and the gated parking available after check in made getting in and out easy. We had everything we needed even some bonus items like fans and extra sheets/blankets. Communication was great! Weâd definitely stay again.
