The room was clean, but there were some damage to the wall & the bathtub faucet was not secure.
Upon arrive at the location i noticed a smell that seemed to permeate throught the entire building. There was no one waiting at the front desk and i waited about 5 mins for someone to show up. After handling check in i went to the room and entered to be greeted with another oderous smell of moisture and a muggy feeling in the air. I tried to settle in the room but after inspecting the room thoroughly i noticed the carpet was wet and i went completely around the perimeter of the room. I asked for a refund and explained that the room is not in good condition and
Hidden fees that were not mentioned on listing. The bathroom had layers of dust on it, the carpet had holes. Despite reserving a king size 1 bed we were given 2 smaller beds because “they ran out” what is a reservation for then? Did not advertise that you can’t even smoke an electronic cigarette. The staff was friendly but that’s about it. The whole place smelled musty and like mildew and let me not get started on the light at the entrance of our room that would sometimes turn on and other times not. Despite being pet friendly they said only dogs then said they’d accept us because we had 2 small cats and would charge us per pet. Overall not happy with the hotel itself. The staff was good and it is not on them. Would NEVER come back to a Wyndham again.
Nice staff, very convenient to STL airport. Several places to eat around near by. Good enough for one day transit to stay the night. price is good also.
The listing says this hotel allows pets and does not specify what they will or won't allow. On the hotels app it simply says "pets allowed, fee apples". So at 11pm we arrive at the hotel and the concierge tells me that they won't allow us to stay because my dog is over 40lbs and because he has long hair. We had find another hotel last minute in St Louis. It was an absolute nightmare! If there are stipulations they should be written in the over view of the hotel of choice, or at least an amendment for their policies!! I am now fighting with customer support from both hotels.com and Travelodge to make sure I am not charged for the cancellation! Do yourself a favor and call the hotel to verify details since this company isn't always accurate.
