As we checked in, a loud, obnoxious and rancid homeless person was in the lobby yelling and making by little brother very uncomfortable. Then we were charged a bogus resort fee of like $250 that was never mentioned when we were booking our stay at the resort. Our room was dirty, moldy and covered in sand like it had barely been cleaned before we arrived. Rum runners was decent but very pricey and you could always count on getting some type of sick after eating there. The staff was mostly friendly. Pool was nice and the beach was pretty as well. However I will never stay at this resort again for how expensive it ended up being for how small and dirty of a room you get.

We were very fortunate to get one of the newer rooms when we asked for a renovated room and the man at the front desk happily gave us one for a small extra nightly fee (our friends were not as lucky as their room smelled really musty, toilet didn’t work and neither did the phone, but they got their room changed to our building). The room was so nice!! We had 2 queen beds, a little kitchen with a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, all which were so nice to have. We also had a sitting area in that room to play games in and eat in. A couch was also there with a comfortable pull out couch, so that the 3 of us had our own beds. Clean bathroom as well, with one of the nicest shower heads ever!! We were also able to see the sunset from our balcony, which also served as a wonderful place to have our morning coffee! The pool area was great since the bar and restaurant were adjacent to it. Food was very good, drinks were great, and the hot tub was actually hot and wonderful!! There was another pool was available, but we didn’t use it. We had a great time in this area of the hotel! Great pool areas, fun! It was also wonderful to have the beach right there!!! Gorgeous!!! I’d return but only if I could have the room we had something close to it, in size and with the balcony with ocean view and not one of the older rooms my friends almost ended up in. With the construction going on, I feel like it will all be great soon. It was an excellent place to spend a girls’ trip!!

The property was nice with a great location. The room was dated, old and neglected. The furniture was stained and ripped, the walls had stains, the towel rack in the bathroom was ready to fall off and was crooked. The room ceilings were in serious need of cleaning and dusting, the refrigerator was dented and loud and the walls were so thin you could hear everything that was being done or said in the next room. I tried to get a different room but they didn’t have any other rooms available. They are remodeling the hotel so hopefully they will have nicer rooms soon.

When we checked in, they did not have our room available. They gave us ‘an upgrade.’ The room, not a junior suite, was smaller than what we had reserved and paid for. For our two week stay we wanted the suite to have space to accommodate our activities. The one they put us in had no microwave. The bathroom was the smallest it could be. It had a single sink outside the bathroom. The upgrade was the Gulf of Mexico view. It was a wonderful view. We enjoyed it over two weeks. As they had no other room available, we moved into the smaller room with the understanding that: 1) They would get us a microwave immediately. 2) They would be able to show us a junior suite that we could see the next day (at 11:00 a.m.). Despite several calls, we did not receive a microwave until the evening of the second day. When we went to the front desk on day two, the people at the front desk seemed to not know about our situation. After a short explanation, they told us they could show us a junior suite later in the afternoon. The clerk who showed us the room seemed to say that they really did not have one available. We decided to stay in the smaller room rather than wait any longer to unpack our belongings for the stay. They promised to get us a microwave pronto, and they did. The place was very welcome and accommodating. We had a wonderful trip. I would guess that our experience is an outlier. Still, they goofed up the reservation, and we all made the most of it. The Sirata was a great place to stay! The beach access was amazing - so quiet. Roland was super nice and helpful getting us set up to watch some amazing sunsets. We cant wait to go back!

Terrible stay and service

We were given a queen room when a king room was booked. The room was very dirty with mold all over the bathroom and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We had asked to be moved to the correct room we booked or a room that did not smell of smoke, especially sensitive due to medical conditions, and were told there were no rooms available. There was no electricity in the middle of the night, no air conditioner, lights or fan. The walls had scribbles all over them and there were burns in the couch with holes. Very unprofessional that we were not accommodated with a new room AND we were not credited or refunded any amount for our stay. Outrageous to pay close to $600 a night for this accommodation.

Floors in our room were not clean. Floors turned our feet black. Very noisy guests on our floor. Chair cushions were dirty and table and chairs were banged up, chipped and looked liked they’d been rescued from a dumpster.
