We checked in late due to our car breaking down at Stansted airport and needing a place to stay for the night. We were met with very friendly and welcoming staff who upgraded our room straight away and made us feel at home after a very stressful day! Drinks at the bar with a cheese board in the evening was just what we needed, and the breakfast was gorgeous. All in all a very lovely stay at the Gem.

We recently had a great stay at Gem Stansted and would highly recommend it! The hotel has a wonderful, distinct boutique feel—it's immediately charming and comfortable. We were fortunate to have a room with a terrace and a beautiful four-poster bed, which really elevated the experience. What truly made the stay memorable was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating; honestly, nothing was too much for them. The service was top-notch from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was also very good, providing a perfect start to the day. Overall, our stay was great value for money. We will absolutely be returning!

The Gem is a Hidden Gem

A gorgeous find near Stansted Airport. Short walk to the hotel from Stansted Mountifitchet Station - 10 minutes maximum depending on pace. This place has more of a gastro pub dining with rooms feel to it. Rooms are beautiful. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was top notch, amazing Fillet Steak with Blue Cheese Sauce - small menu but all looked lovely. Good draught beers and cocktails looked really good! Options to get to Stansted are taxi if leaving early - around 10 mins and a normal car cost £28.50 for 4 people. Trains run from about 0530 to the airport taking 13 mins and costs £4.60. Didn’t get to have breakfast sadly as left too early but if dinner was anything to judge it by it would have been lovely. Will definitely stay here again.

Un séjours sur mesure. Un accueil chaleureux, un personnel agréable et très professionnel. La carte du restaurant est superbe, pour un français en Angleterre c’était parfait! La pièce de bœuf est tendre et bonne et la cuisson était parfaite. Les St jacques sont incroyables ! Je recommande! L’hôtel a du cachet, la literie est très confortable, j’ai fait une nuit réparatrice, et j’ai adoré le chic à l’anglaise. Il y a une superbe ambiance dans ce lieu, j’ai trouvé ma pépite pour mes passages par Stansted!
