It can be resume by everything I selected in the previous question! As a woman travelling by myself, I felt safe, it was quite so I could rest. Everything was easy access and walkable from the hotel in minutes walk. If I needed to go further I was 4 minutes from the bus ( train also) to the airport, 2-3 minutes from restaurants and boutiques, 7 minutes away from city bus and tramway, between 15 to 20 minutes walk from 3 ports, 20-25 minutes from Gåmla Stan. Just wow!! It was my first time travelling by myself, I was nervous before I left but once there it was perfect, I felt comfortable and safe and couldn’t have wished for a better experience!! Tack så mycket!!

Comfort by name...

Great location next to the bus and train station. After arriving on the Flygbussarna, it was a 3 minute walk around the corner to the hotel. Despite road works and alterations, we had no disturbance in our room, which was small but perfectly functional and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy walk to Gamla Stan and other areas of the city. We are booked at other Comfort hotels in Norway, and hope they are as good as this one. If so, we'll be more than happy.

Great location and comfortable, but really tight for space. Bathroom was large by comparison. Breakfast was good and average price. But, you can get day-old sandwiches for a good price. Good lunch in adjacent World Trade Center.

A no for us

For those not familiar with the European Comfort Xpress brand: The compact double room is very small (maybe 8 ft by 8 ft). The bed is flush with the walls on three sides, requiring one person to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. The “desk” is a fold down board and the desk chair is a folding chair. There is no room to have your suitcase open, no rug, no closet, just 2 hangers and some pegs on the wall. It costs extra to have the room cleaned more often than every 4th day. Our Stockholm room wasn’t very clean - the floor was dusty and dirty, the shower grout was mildewy. The shower gets most of the bathroom floor wet (seems to be a recurring problem in most hotel bathrooms), and there isn’t a bath mat (but we could get an extra towel when we asked). Windows did keep out most of the city noise. Other than the location, not much to recommend with this hotel. This is the second Comfort Xpress we’ve stayed at, and our last. Just a bit too bare bones for us.
