We got a great room at this hotel. It was conveniently located near everything we wanted to see in Stockholm. The staff was excellent as well. Highly recommend.

This Swedish capital has been compared to Venice or St. Petersburg because of its waterways. While Stockholm, Sweden, does encompass 14 islands, the city is unique in its wonder and attraction. It's a place where sleek modernity compliments ancient history. Home to no less than three UNESCO World Heritage sites, it's also part of the Stockholm Archipelago, a string of islands with their own Northern European charms. Reserve a room at one of the hotels in Stockholm to discover this place for yourself. Consider staying in Stockholm hotels near the airport and take the easy-to-use train system, or Tunnelbana, around town.
To get a true sense of the history here, visit Vasa Museum, where you can see a well-preserved wooden warship that's over 400 years old. While there, explore the rest of the island you're on, Djugarden, where you will also find Skansen Open-Air Museum. Part zoo, part museum, part city park, it's a great place to spend an afternoon and close to some 5 star hotels in Stockholm. The island is next to Old Town, or Gamla Stan. Be sure to check out the Opera House, Royal Palace, and Nobel Museum in this part of the city.
The town, including Stockholm hotels, is loaded with outstanding cafes and coffee bars that have to be sampled. Go al fresco in the summer and step inside when the snow flies. Swedish pastries are tantalizing, as are the chocolate and oatmeal balls. Try other local treats like Swedish meatballs in gravy or fillet of reindeer. You can follow that up with tasty pies or juniper and lingonberry ice cream. Be sure to sip a cocktail from the Brannvin family of spirits, which is similar to vodka but has its own appeal.
