Homestead 1810 - beautiful farmhouse suite minutes from Charlottetown

A little piece of heaven on earth!
Built in 1830, this farmhouse is one of the oldest homes in Stratford.
Its a heritage home and boasts tons of history and character.
Down a long laneway and nestled on 4 acres, the property provides a peaceful escape and a country feel while being just minutes from downtown Charlottetown.
Spacious, open-concept area with tons of natural light and nature views from every window. Modern farmhouse feel. Only good vibes in this old house.
*Please note this is our family home, and we have a 2-year old child. As such, you will be in ear shot of some regular child-related noises at times :)
*Please note the town of Stratford is building a community campus & high school behind our property. It is not directly bordering our property, however, you will be able to see and hear construction in the distance. Our experience thus far is that we cannot hear any noise when inside but can hear noise in distance when outside. They are putting in sports fields (not buildings) closest to us.

The rooms were clean and bright and spacious. It is a peaceful place, set back from high traffic areas. The hosts were helpful when needed. The outside seating area was a wonderful place to relax after a busy day. Though somewhat secluded, this property has easy access to Charlottetown and points east. Best of all, perhaps, was that the bed was comfortable! Thanks so much to our hosts for a great stay.

This is a beautiful property hidden away from the more suburban area of Stratford. We felt like we were in the country but only minutes from Charlottetown. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable and relaxing. I would recommend it to others

Heather and Mozzi are wonderful hosts, and their guest suite was well-appointed, immaculate, modern and comfortable. The patio was perfect for morning coffee, the living space was a comfortable spot to relax, the bathroom was updated and spotless, and the washer and dryer were handy to have. We appreciated the toiletries and laundry soap too. We were arriving in the evening and I asked if coffee and creamer were available at the suite so I would know if we needed to stop to pick some up on the way. Heather responded right away and said that coffee was available and offered to provide creamer too! We were especially grateful gor fresh good-quality coffee and creamer each morning. The only things to be aware of: the coffee maker is a french press-style which was no problem for us, and the bed is quite firm.

Lovely place and great location

We loved everything about this stay! The hosts are wonderful. There was a welcoming treat left (which was quickly devoured), the place had everything we needed and more, was spacious, and peaceful. Like the other reviews say- you do not feel like you are in a city yet Charlottetown is just 5 min drive away and it is also conveniently located to get to many places on the island. We were also half way through a 17 day trip so wet much appreciated the washer and dryer. Highly recommend this beautiful stay. Thank you Heather and fam, you are da best! Hope to see you again sometime :)

Charming place for a relaxing vacation

Homestead 1810 was a little home away from home. It is equipped with everything we needed as a family of 4 and more. It was clean, orgnized, nicely decorated, has the old farm house charm. The garden was beautiful as well. Having a washe and dryer on-site were a plus since part of our stay in PEI was for a sport tournament, we needed to wash those clothes multiple times. Heather was clear in all of her communications and instructions. Ww highly recommend this place if you like to enjoy a quite relaxing vacation.

Beautiful property

Very hospital family! We received the incorrect address which made the property difficult to find as the address did not exist but the host was very quick to get back to us to resolve the issue. We loved our stay here - the home is quaint, charming, clean, and very peaceful. Just a 5 minute drive from Charlotte town but still gives you a cottage-like feel.

Charming near Charlottetown

Great amenities and location for exploring PEI. Rural setting but close to all the island has to offer, with a 5 minute drive to downtown Charlottetown. The farmhouse was well equipped for this couple of semi-retired travellers. We were provided with everything we needed to be comfortable and settled for our two week stay. Set on a peaceful treed lot. There is a private deck with BBQ to enjoy the gardens and sunsets in June. We enjoyed the super comfy couch for evening Netflix and proper fitted kitchen with gas range. Seamless check-in and out. Hosts Heather and Mozzi were exceptional.

Quiet hideaway minutes from Charlottetown waterfront

We enjoyed 8 days in this clean, comfortable, fully equipped suite attached to the owners' home. Owners were very respectful of our privacy and exceptionally responsive to any needs or questions we had. We loved that we were centrally located so close to the heart of Charlottetown, but with quiet and privacy that felt rural.

PEI stay

The property was very clean and beautiful. We felt like we had a lot of privacy. There was a brief mix up after we arrived, I had messaged the owners that our cell phone didn’t have service in Canada and they would need to message me the day before about check in procedure. They messaged me an hour before check in and we had no service. Lucky for us a tenant who lived in another building was home and was able to reach the owners by phone and we were able to talk to them about how to get in. The only other thing we didn’t like was the French press coffee maker. But that is a preference thing. Everything else was wonderful.

quiet stay

located 100m off a well traveled road in Stratford and close to Charlottetown (5 minute drive across the bridge) with Sobey's and PEI liquor store nearby...but has a quiet country feel. Lots of space indoors; private deck. Host was very generous with vegetables from his/her garden.

Beautiful 4 acres of country property with shopping only 1.5 km away. Downtown Charlottetown only 7 minutes away. Lovely Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in PEI and at this property. It is perfectly located just a few minutes from Charlottetown as well as grocery stores etc. the house is located at the end of a long lane on a large piece of land with a well kept garden, overlooking fields. We had a private deck area with seating for 4 and a BBQ The house itself was nicely decorated and as shown in photographs, with the addition of a sofa bed. we had everything we needed for our stay, with a well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable living space. Our hosts, who live on site in part of the house, were just lovely and very quick to respond to questions. Loved our time in PEI!
