Open Fire and Spa Bath Indulgent and Luxury Villa

Villa Java is a unique and a very special place to stay if you are wanting a relaxing get away to recharge your energy. It is centrally located in the township of Strathalbyn with only a very short walk to the famous High Street where you will find antique shops and some great places for lunch or for just a coffee. The open fire and 2 person spa bath will enable you to wind down and recharge. Bring along your pet to make your experience even more satisfying and stressful knowing that your pet is holidaying with you and your pet will have access to a secure courtyard.
It is ideal for couples with a King bed,there is also an additional day bed for an additional guest or children. There is a full kitchen with gas stove, oven, dishwasher and full fridge. Laundry facilities are available for guests to use so if you are planning a longer stay this is a great convenience.

We were delayed on check-in day, arriving at the accomodation just before 7pm. As this is my first time booking a 2 1 accomodation, I omit to mention to Becky that we need the day bed made up, as well as towels for the 3rd occupant. Becky was kind enough to assist despite it being really late, and we were very grateful about that. There is also no wi-fi, a conscious decision to allow travellers to enjoy the beautiful town and its surrounds - we thoroughly loved Goolwa Barrage (seal sightings); Port Elliot's Horseshoe Bay; Hahndorf (duh!) and Coorong Yelloweye Mullet which is a delicacy from the unique Murray River x Southern Ocean habitat. On the way to Strathalbyn, we crossed the Murray River at Wellington, a free 5-min boat ride - that was exhilarating! Glad to have found this property months earlier and be able to explore the quieter area in peak tourism season.

This many 5 star ratings don't lie - absolutely fabulous place. Favourite thing that wasn't apparent from the photos is the private back deck that overlooks the Angus River Nature Walk area, could happily sit there all day watching the birds (or better yet, lull around in the spa while doing so). Super clean, generous provisions and just such a peaceful relaxing vibe. Would definitely stay here again, and probably will.

Was a nice place clean spa was a great size bed was comfortable as far as breakfast a loaf of bread and 6 eggs for a bed and breakfast I can’t rate it as we have been to a few b& b and the food was fantastic there are a few places for breakfast around the area that are nice overall nice place I would not rush back organising the key was not a good experience either as we were not given any time prior to getting there in regards to where the key was left so we were waiting around 15 minutes until we got a call back from owner

We were really impressed by this cute little modern cottage. It has 2 fireplaces, one in the bubble bath area and one in the bedroom. It has a cozy feel to it and was the perfect choice for our 2 night getaway. It was clean and well equipped. This place is absolute magic.

An absolute gem of a place in a beautiful location

Java Villa is simply gorgeous, it’s a beautiful old building with high ceilings & is a very comfortable place to stay. The bed was really comfortable, the kitchen had everything including a fabulous coffee machine which was all ready to go filled with coffee beans. The owner left us sour dough bread, butter, jam & milk which we were very grateful for. The location is great, it’s a lovely walk into the pretty little town of Strathalbyn. Good communication with the owner who too. ,We will definitely stay again.
