For a 4 Stat Hotel with a Motor Themed background, you would think it would cater much better for their guests who stay there and have driven to the hotel. The Hotels parking is underground, not a great real amount of spaces when you consider the number of rooms. Additionally you have to pay for the privilege of parking their too and its not cheap. At their nightly room rates you would think hotel guests can park free. One night the Underground Car Park was so full, it was almost impossible to park my expensive car in a space where I could get in easily, or being in a vulnerable space. So I parked in the Staff spaces on the exterior area. I did inform the hotel what Id done, and why. Other options on parking are extremely limited to Street Parking with Coin Operated Meters. Not ideal when you then have to get up early to re-feed a Parking Meter. Not impressed with the parking situation.

Stayed in one of the theme bedroom, the room was huge! Celebrated my partners 30th birthday, we were left balloons, chocolates and wine to celebrate which was a lovely touch and made it felt even more special. This is the second motorworld hotel which we’ve stayed it, they’re a great hotel brand and would highly recommend staying. Only a 5 minute walk to the train station, plenty of parking and options to eat out within a few minutes walk.

Petrolhead heaven

We enjoyed our stay as a family of four. The cars in and around the hotel were amazing! The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the special touches like the car shaped soap and pens. The staff checking us in at reception were really friendly and happy to answer any questions we had around parking, local eateries etc. A visit to the spa facilities on the top floor was very relaxing and enjoyable. The only thing that would’ve topped the room off would have been a coffee machine in the room, as there was only tea available in the room.

If you like cars you’ll like it here. We had a themed room (Porsche) which was excellent. The hotel location for Motorworld also excellent. Be warned though that there isn’t a huge choice of places to eat and drink in the area and, if like us, you stay on a Sunday then you won’t be able to order food in the hotel either as the kitchen is closed. But for that I’d have given it 5 stars.
