The hotel is very small — there’s barely any space for luggage, so you have to keep everything packed up just to be able to get to the other side. The restroom is cramped, and honestly, everything feels tiny. Lowest AC is 24°C, they don’t go lower than this. You’ll likely bump into the edge of the bed more than once (and it hurts). Front desk staff were not helpful and didn’t offer any assistance during the stay. The only positive is the nice location.

There was a huge dead cockroach right in front of the elevators at the lobby area. The whole place smelled like DDT and the hallway on our room floor did not seem to have been vacuumed for ages.

I’d like to preface that my family and I stayed at the Midtown Richardson in Kaohsiung for 9 days prior to checking into this one in Taipei for 5 days. I booked this property based on my *naive* assumption that I would have the same experience that we had in Kaohsiung which was very pleasant.
