Hotel Montetaxco
"The hotel is the most relaxing way to enjoy Taxco. The town is so dense because of the mountainside location, that you need a place to retreat from the noise, traffic and density of the folks working thier way up and down the cobblestone streets (with no sidewalks). The hotel provides a welcome respite. The Saturday night fiesta was similar to cruise ship entertainment, smart, sassy and fun. We enjoyed it all. Gracias. What I would suggest to management for weekend entertainment: The circular palapa club that overlooks the pool has a spectacular night view of the city. HIRE THE TRIO that played during the Sunday brunch: Los Betos. They were older, traditional and played all the songs from the 40s and 50's that all mexicanos love. Unfortunately, that night, the hotel had a singer guitarist, who was not on par with the other entertainment. Easy fix, and older folks will have a nice place to hang out with romantic tunes on stage. IMHO."

Hotel Los Arcos
"Pros: The property is beautiful, with a great rooftop deck (which could be better utilized with more furniture) and discounted parking nearby. Lots of steps. Very nice, helpful staff. Cons: Only 2 outlets per room. Very noisy. No AC and very hot in April. Shower pressure is very weak, and it takes a long time to get hot water. WiFi service is terrible: slow and unreliable (much better at the hotel across the street and all the nearby restaurants). Could use some refreshing/remodeling."
