Just amazing. From views of the countryside, to the peaceful surroundings, this home is a one of a kind. We absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommend to ALL!!
Property is well kept with excellent views. Sipping tea in the morning outside overlooking the valley was a great start of the day. The larger towns you want to visit are 30min to an hour or so away. You definitely need a car. The house keeper is a wonderful person who was patient with are lack of Italian (we speak Spanish and English). Recommend for a great family get away.
This property and our stay was outstanding. Everything was exactly as we hoped. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The villa is away from the city, but the town is easily accessible. You do need a car. The view from the property is like in a dream and we sat for many hours in the mornings and evenings taking it in. The home is spotless with everything we could possibly need. The owner is extremely helpful and assisted us with dinner reservations and our many questions. We even had wood for the fireplace, making our evenings so cozy. The home is perfect for a family vacation and set up for settling in immediately. It was very, very hard to leave. I highly recommend everything about Villa Banditello.
Le Capenne was an extraordinarily beautiful property. We are so glad you opened it to us in the low season of tourism. It was the highlight of our visit to Italy.
After looking at the many houses available for rent in the immediate area, the hillside characteristic was one of the traits that sets it apart because of the magnificent view of Montepulciano.
Also, the close proximity to Montefollinico and it's very good restaurants was a surprise. La Botte Piena was superb, and we received a great recommendation from Francesco to purchase bistecca from the butcher in Montefollinico, and then we used your wood fired grill in the kitchen to cook. It was so much fun.
You and your family have a very special place and we appreiate that you opened it to our family. Our memories will last a lifetime.
Beautiful, spacious and well equipped summer house with a splendid view from the terrace on Montepulciano. Very quiet location. All facilities needed available. Two nice living rooms, and spacious bedrooms with bathrooms. The owner (in Rome) responds immediately when something comes up like a wifi failure. Well organized and very hospitable!
... when you are expecting to spend a gorgious time in Middle-Tuscany: Montepulciano always in sight, out in nature, below a quiet, typical hill town, Montefolonico, an hour-long hike away from Montepulciano and, of course, enough places to visit in the area anyway.
The house (Banditello) is beautiful inside and out, and offers all amenities at a very high standard, but spares you tv or pool. We had a perfect vacation!
When the gravel track road opened up onto Villa Banditello my first reaction was that this must be paradise. The house is completely off the beaten track positioned in its own beautiful and large garden that spills out into the olive groves and vineyards surrounding the property and further down into the valley below. The grounds are storybook picturesque with nothing obstructing the view and on the hill opposite the garden you have the hilltop town of Montepulciano.
I don't normally splurge but this house is something else. The interior is large and comfortable, tastefully (and it seems, lovingly) furnished by the owners. The bed was comfortable, the linens and towels spotlessly clean, the bathrooms large, the living rooms (there are actually two of them) airy and very comfortable. The furniture was not the eclectic assortment that you sometimes find in vacation rentals. It was in character with the house and some of the pieces are of the type you see in antique stores in Tuscany and wish you could carry away with you. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home, the stove is large and modern and it is supplied with much more than the bare essentials.
We are hikers and there is no shortage of beautiful hiking trails (the white trails of Tuscany) in the area. There is an abundance of beautiful hill towns to visit in the area, but we also took day trips to Florence (under an hour and a half by car) and visited Umbria.
To top it all the owners, Michele and Cristina, are the perfect hosts. We were lucky to have had the opportunity to meet them in person and they gave us the feeling that we were indeed their guests rather than random renters. We had a wonderful stay in this very special house and are certain that we shall return.

A lovely week in a gorgeous setting. The house was clean and well furnished, and exactly as advertised online. The only drawback was---it was so cold and rainy for May! For the wealthier renters, you might want to add the restauranat La Chiusa in Montefollonico to the list. It's one of the best restaurants in Italy!

Beautiful Villa in a Perfect Location!
We stayed in the Villa Banditello this past July, and it was the perfect base from which to explore the neighbouring hill towns of Montepulciano, Montefollonico, Pienza, Siena, etc. The villa is 5 minutes outside of Montefollonico (great restaurant here called 13 Gobbi, where the owner/chef makes home made fettuccini in a hollowed out peccorino cheese rind, scraping the melted cheese down into the pasta .. yum!). It is situated in its own vineyards and olive groves, and is beautifully appointed, right down to a wood oven (in addition to the regular one). The kitchen was very well equipped, the washing machine worked perfectly, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, bright and clean, and the views . . . well they were pretty much "storybook"! Michele personally spoke to us on the phone as we arrived, to be sure that we had all we needed. The housekeeper was there to greet us, and showed us everthing we needed to know. There is lots of room for parking. Furnishings, books and art are plentiful and tasteful. It really is a home away from home. There was even a bottle of the vineyard's own red wine waiting for us on arrival. Thank you Michele and Cristina! We would like to return this summer again in July! We will contact you!

Beautiful Villa with amazing views
We stayed in this villa for 5 nights in April and had a most wonderful time. The house was spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. When we arrived, it was late afternoon and the view with the sunset took our breath away! It was more beautiful than we could ever have imagined. Our time here was so peaceful. We loved every minute of it.
We had a little difficulty following the hand drawn map but the housekeeper was very helpful and we followed her in the car. The owner, Michele, just happened to be up from Rome while we were there, so we were able to meet him. He was a lovely gentleman, very interesting and pleasant with lots of information about the area. He was helpful and also left us in peace to enjoy our holiday.
There are two houses on the property, very close together. Lucky for us, no one was staying in the other house while we were there. We went for walks and drives in the area. The nearby village is lovely with restaurants and a small grocery store.
We stayed in the larger house. There was one main bedroom and 3 twin bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and excellent shower (an italian style - hose in the bath). The kitchen was well-equiped with lovely glassware and crockery. The heating was a little bit difficult to understand how to work, but once it worked it was perfect. We used the open fire which was cosy. There is a table with comfy chairs for eating al fresco with a spectacular view of Montepulciano and fields and forests.
You definitely need a car to stay here. It's off the beaten track which means it's very quiet and peaceful. It took us about 2 hours to drive here from Florence. There is no internet and there is no tv.
We loved our stay here and recommend it highly! If we could come back to Italy, we would definitely stay here again!

Adult family and friends
We were a group of eight adults... two of us celebrating our 50th anniversary and our adult children and friends. We occupied both Banditello and Mulinello for most of a week...the capstone of our two weeks in Italy. To say that the accommodations were superb would be an understatement! Both casas were warm and inviting, beautifully furnished and appointed, with modern kitchens and bathrooms and lovely, comfy furniture- much of which was antique. We cooked nearly all our evening meals in the fabulous kitchen of Banditello, and gathered around the fireplace in the evenings to share stories of each day's activities. The younger generation walked to Montefollonico for groceries, while the seniors spent time taking in the views of the vineyards and olive groves that surround the casas on all sides. Some of our days were spent touring the nearby medieval hill towns and monasteries. Other times we enjoyed just reading, relaxing, and soaking up the atmosphere. The owners, who live in Rome, checked in each day by phone, and the local caretaker, Maddelena, also paid a short visit each day to answer any questions (how to operate the washing machine, the heating system, etc.) She was delightful! It has long been a dream of ours to stay in a 'real' Tuscan farmhouse, and these beautifully restored homes exceeded our greatest expectations. Everything was perfect. We hope to return to Le Capanne di Sopra!

A Quiet Jewel in Tuscany
My spouse and I had stayed at Banditello previously and had a marvelous time, so we tried Mullinello this time. Our hosts were magnificent and helpful as usual and the lodgings were exceptionally clean and welcoming. At one point, Michele even apologized for the rain! The setting was superb and we took long quiet walks along the country roads lined with woods and pastures and vineyards, ate dinner and bought groceries at nearby Montefollonico, and made day trips to favorite spots in Tuscany. Such gracious and friendly people made it certain that we shall return. This is the spot if you want quiet to read and talk and you need the view of Montepulciano across the valley. Many thanks to our hosts for their hospitality to Americans who want to be Italian!

September Dream
We stayed in the house Banditello the first 2 weeks of September 2011 and highly rcommend it; the house is well equipped and located in an idyllic spot very private and with spectacular views across to Montepulciano. The local village Montefellonico has bank, supermarket and excellent restaurants to suit all pockets; we particularly recommend 13 Gobbi. Michele is a kind helpful considerate landlord; he left us one morning a wonderful bowl of fresh green figs for breakfast.
If we visit that part of Tuscany again we certainly will want to stay in Banditello and will recommend it to others.
We rented this house in the heart of Tuscany for 4 nights in May, 2009. We had five adults staying at the house. What a treasure to find! This house is immaculate and beautiful. The views from the house are stunning. I must admit that the driveway is a little tretcherous, but it isn't anything that can't be handled. We had a lot of fun seeking out and visiting the nearby cities as well as heading off the beaten path and discovering some cities we didn't know about. During our stay they were filming the Twilight movie in Montepulciano! The house itself is beautiful - I wish I could take the home back to the US with me to live in. The accomodations were more than suitable and comfortable and anything we needed was available to us. We can't wait to come back and visit and we will definitely stay here again. We've already recommended the house to several people planning to vacation in Italy. Thanks!!!

Abbiamo soggiornato a cas...
