The neighboring town of Nerja attracts visitors with its famous stalactite cave and Balcón de Europa. Culinary discoveries can be made in the town of El Borge, which is home to the Muscat raisin, a local specialty. We also recommend visiting the town of Cómpeta, where one of the region's most famous wines is produced, the sweet Muscat. The picturesque old town of the mountain village of Torrox, at the foot of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama, will delight you, as will the fertile hinterland, which is dotted with haciendas. Meet the locals on their small haciendas, where they grow mangoes, oranges, avocados, lemons, olives, almonds and much more.
