I wish I had never stayed here. I didn’t stay a full night because the experience was disturbing.
The hotel was noisy. I could hear loud laughter chatter, and banging during my short 5-6 hour there. Initially, I planned to stay the night but the chaos lead me to leave immediately. I was concerned for my safety as I could smell something foul burning from the next room. I raised my concerned to the receptionist who spoke to the resident and offered for me to switch rooms. I accepted but it was inconvenient packing all of my belongings up and moving upstairs without help with all my luggage. The second floor of this two story building is where I initially wanted to stay but was denied earlier. Once I moved to the room upstairs the same foul smell persisted. Long story short I did not feel safe staying overnight so I left, I was repulsed. Additionally, I noticed some staff staring at me, whispering to one another and laughing because I was uncomfortable. I felt so unwelcome.
Also, the cleaning standards could have been much better. The floors were quite dirty. I was reluctant to take off my shoes, which is why went out to buy some slippers. Another inconvenience. Finally, the staff couldn’t provide me with the promised free wifi. I called to troubleshoot over the phone but they said I had to go to the lobby. I did and they still couldn’t.
I requested a refund from a staff member on site but they denied me. This stay was a major waste of money, sadly. I had such high hopes.
