Very nice hotel, recently updated. Room was very spacious. Would definitely recommend for an overnight stay. Only negative is not alot of restaurants in immediate area. We ate at Sadie's diner, which offered a variety of food and was very delicious.

Our room was not ready for an hour after check-in time, and we were then given "another" room because "ours" wasn't ready. (We had driven 8+ hours and had early dinner reservations for a graduation party.) The only good thing to say about the room was that the bed was comfortable! Otherwise, it was old, unkept, very worn, and relatively unclean. When we checked out, the front desk attendant asked how our stay was, we responded with "not great - no response. (We are aware that the poor conditions were not her fault, but we could have been told where to address our concerns.)

Staff was great, except I had to plunge my own toilet when it plugged after a not-excessive amount of TP. Room looked and smelled old. Like visiting a grandma that never bought new carpet in 50 years. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was not worth the trip down the elevator. I would stay again if I was passing through, needed something basic for over night and it was the cheapest.

Good. Better than it costs!

Nice, friendly, inexpensive. Spacious suite. Regular continental breakfast, but hot pockets and Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage made it better. Great coffee all say.

Trip to Tuscaloosa

This was our third time staying at The Gresystine Inn and it has been a nice experience each time. The only issue we had this time was that I reserved a room that was supposed to sleep 5 but got a room thag slept 4. However, the employees rectified this by providing a cot. They are very nice people. The area is quiet and not too busy being it is right off the interstate. We would definitely stay again.
