Location and amenities make a great stay

The location of this condo is stellar! A couple of steps outside the backdoor you're at the playground. Perfect to burn off the remaining energy the kiddos have after a day of skiing. More steps down brings you to the ice skating rink, and further down you're at ski school and the Eagle Bahn gondola. Restaurants abound nearby, so if you don't feel like cooking, grab a pizza or have a nice meal out. I'm only 2 weeks out from knee surgery so I needed a place with a main floor bedroom and elevator which Westwind 402 has. The building is definitely an older one and you could hear the pipes gurgling with water at all hours of the night. The water also turns cold if someone else flushes (LOL). The vegan leather furniture is peeling in many spots and needs replacing. We were here towards the end of the season and it was warm in the condo. With the windows open you can hear the highway traffic noise. Much of this is all disclosed in the description and in previous reviews.It is tastefully decorated and the kitchen had pretty much every utensil you need or want. Everyone in my party loved the location and convenience.

Great stay!

Great location and very comfortable. Some furnishings were dated/basic but beds were new and super restful. Property was clean, ready and as pictured. Perfect for family of 4 (3 boys) for a lacrosse tournament in Vail. It’s not a “brand new” place but extremely functional for family stay. Really enjoyed the stay and appreciated the host’s responsiveness to any questions. It is a 4th floor (slow building elevator) and no AC so be prepared to open windows in the summer. Not a big deal and always cooled off at night. Thank you!

Excellent condo for family ski trip

Great condo in a great location. Enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Excellent seating for a large family in living room and dining. Note that the there is a communal grill downstairs but not in individual units - that is really the only thing we missed. Very happy with this condo and hope to be back. Thank you!

Great location. Needs an upgrade badky

Cannot beat location. Right in the middle of everything in Eagle Bahn Village. Gondola is 2 minute walk in ski boots. The place is very dated though. Showers and sinks and appliances look like original 1970's. Hot tub is great size but was not super hot. Place is small in bedrooms and in bathrooms. Fireplace is gas but was nice. View of mountain was nice. Overall the unit is a C just because of how dated it is and also because there is no real management on it. You gets keys from a building next door. It when you need another set, they tell you they can't do it because they don't manage the property. Strange check-in. For what we paid, I was expecting more. I guess the premium rate is for the location. Ok place. Just set your expectations for some quirks. Skiing is first class.

great location, well appointed

This place was awesome, we really enjoyed it. Lots of room to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need and because we stayed 6 nights we had daily service, which helps when traveling with teens. The only issues we had - and they are minor - is that the front door sticks making it very hard to open and the humidifier was broken which is a must in CO winter. Superficial complaints really, everything else was perfect.

Nice condo. Convenient location.

The building is very close to the Lionshead gondola. The unit is large and in good shape. They have completed remodeling the common areas including a new hot tub (spa). My only suggestion would be a little better description of the check-in process. The management office is in a building next door. They were very nice and helpful but it would have been confusing if we had come in late at night.
