Loved the property! Very clean. Room was ok but very clean. Planned on eating at the onsite restaurant however found out it was closed on Thursday which was when we were there. One night stay. Ate there on Friday and the food was very good. Was sad they didn't have chairs on the beach, however it was a beautiful place. Would go back again.

Loved the location and the beach... unit smelled like moth balls when we first arrived. Took awhile to air out. Unit was dated but very clean ... until in the evening a roach crawled across the floor. Ick.

Thank you for your comments, sorry you found a roach in the room. We do have professional exterminators every month but an occasional bug does still show up. We hope you will return again.

I love the Driftwood!!

I have stayed at the Driftwood Resort several times, none better than the one this past June. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub, a king bed, a kitchen and a living room. We could hear the ocean from our room, it was only about 50 feet to the beach. It's such a relaxing place. The restaurant was casual and had entertainment all 3 days we were there. I love the rocking chairs that were in front of our room. I'll definintely be going back again, it's our favorite place in Florida, especially after going to the theme parks for a few days, we need to relaxation that this resort always provides.

Wonderful treasure on Treasure Coast

What a wonderful little escape we found in Vero Beach. We stayed in August and what was supposed to be a one night visit turned into a week long stay. Our room was very comfortable for the two of us with a queen bed, small kitchen and living room. We had a nice view of the ocean too. The restaurant on site had entertainment in the afternoons and serves the biggest pile of nachos I've ever seen. There is so much history on this property that we spent one entire day just walking around and asking employees where all the different things came from. We can't wait to return next year.

Driftwood Reality

If you are comfortable at a 1-2 star resort then this place will be great. The original buildings were made of driftwood and old planks by a very interesting character named Waldo. The restaurant is named after him. The food is pricey for what you get and not very good. There were bands playing on the patio every afternoon by the pool. Our room was very small for the money and really needed renovation to bring it up to modern standards. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud and old. I would not recommend this place to my friends.
