This is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore historic downtown Wilmington! We stayed here for two weeks and walked everywhere; bars, restaurants, galleries, breweries, the riverwalk, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was: even though there are restaurants right behind it, you couldn’t hear anything. Off street protected parking was great and there is laundry available onsite. While we were there, we got to know neighbors and joined them twice for drinks in the parking lot. The owner communicated everything that we needed to know before we got there and was available if we needed anything else. I can’t recommend this place enough. Location, design, quiet, and comfortable make it a perfect spot to stay when exploring Wilmington.
Great location. Very clean, nice toiletries, bottled water and a few snacks provided. Hosts were great communicators and super helpful with lots of recommendations for local spots for things to do, food and drinks. Would 100% stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Kurt and Ada’s home in downtown Wilmington. Kurt was very accommodating, kind, and quick to respond. The home was just as described, if not even more lovely in person. We especially appreciated the private parking. My husband is very particular about security, and we felt very safe during our stay. The video instructions for finding the private parking were especially helpful and very easy to follow. We loved the thoughtful welcome snacks and waters, and we even discovered a new favorite cookie! The earplugs were another thoughtful touch. The home is a beautiful historic mansion divided into individual units, with gorgeous hardwood floors and a wonderful mix of historic charm and modern decor. My favorite spot was the cozy sitting room, where I enjoyed relaxing on the couch. We also loved the front porch and rocking chairs—a perfect place to sit and watch people walk by without feeling crowded. The location was excellent, with restaurants and the Riverwalk nearby. We also appreciated having blinds on every window, allowing us to enjoy the natural light while still having privacy. We loved the bedspread so much that we asked for the name and plan to order one for our own home!Thank you, Kurt and Ada, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return to downtown Wilmington.
