Heed the other reviews. Place looked abandoned. When walking in, it had a bad odor. The front door would not lock from inside and the toy hot tub did not work. We contacted vrbo since had no resolution with host in regards to safety issue of door. Had to book elsewhere. Still working to get a refund, host responded and said that my issue did not meet their criteria for a refund. So guest safety, comfort and satisfaction is not their concern. Im not sure why Vrbo would be associated with such a host. So the hosts kept my money, for doing absolutely nothing.
Points faibles : Communication, exactitude de l’annonce
The property and the cabin were amazing. The house is well maintained and comfortable. We loved the open spaces and even saw some deer on the property. The downside was the problems with the hot tub, no heat. Before booking, I specifically contacted the host and asked if the hot tub was working, I was reassured that it was. Very disappointed being that was the reason we booked this cabin. The problem was not corrected, being said I won’t be booking any stays with this host.
Difficulty locking the door leaving the property. Impossible to lock the door for from the inside of the house. Big problem. No ice maker or ice in the freezer. Hot tub was turned on and set to 100 degrees and never worked. Amazon fire TV could not sign into. We had to watch the NFL playoffs from our phone. I even asked if the hot tub was working before we arrived and they said yes. The hot tub is smaller than a kiddie pool. A one seater literally. No paper towels either. Plus we have to check out at 10 an hour earlier than every where else. Not to mention they tried to charge us an extra 26.50 because we had 2 dogs and it wasn't in the rental agreement.
Overall it was a great property and everything is as advertised but the hot tub never worked and we had issues with WiFi on and off for most of our stay. Property manager was responsive and they attempted to fix the hot tub and assured me it was working after they came by but when we attempted to use it it still wasn't working so we gave up rather than spend the stay going back and forth with maintenance. That's the only downside to our stay, the fire pit was so cute and it really is perfect for a weekend getaway, just disappointed because the hot tub was the main reason we booked. We still had a lovely time and the area is beautiful.
The main reason we rented the house was because it showed a nice hot tub in the photos, but it never worked with hot water. Supposedly, the maintenance person came to check it and said it was working, but in reality, it never did. I didn’t really like the house; it wasn’t comfortable for me because the bedroom was on one side of the house, and to go to the bathroom, you had to walk through the living room, dining area, and kitchen to get to it at the end. I just wanted to spend a few relaxing days, but it wasn’t quite as I expected, and they didn’t offer any refund or compensation for the hot tub not working properly.(We did get to know the city of Wimberley, and we really liked it — such a lovely place.)
