This compact first floor holiday apartment is tucked away quietly but is just 50 metres from the bustle of Bownessâ high street which offers a wide selection of restaurants, pubs and interesting shops. Comfortably furnished and fitted it has a balcony with views towards Claife Heights. The lake is a pleasant 5 minute stroll from where you can take a cruise up to Ambleside or enjoy numerous water sports. There is a huge variety of activities and attractions nearby. Excellent public transport covering most of the Lake District enables visitors to be car free. Shops and pubs 55 yards.

Fabulous location in the heart of Bowness. The shops and pubs are literally a couple of minutes walk away. Great to use as a base. The apartment has everything you need. The settees are not very comfortable so if you want to lounge around this is not the place for you! The bedrooms are well equipped and the beds are really comfortable. Bit difficult to find the flat on arrival and still not sure where we were supposed to park but we just parked in the free communal carpark and there were no issues.

Negatives is no WiFi, really annoying when you canât get phone signal either⊠although in fairness this is something I should have checked before booking.
Parking limited, but Iâm sure you could park in surrounding areas.
Apartment very dated, sofa is sooo uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin so the noise from outside and other apartments is quite bad, massively affected sleep.
Kitchen very well equiped.
Overall good stay as location makes up for anything else.

The main bedroom was spacious but I think the lounge area was a little smaller than we were expecting but it was big enough for what we needed. I would stay there again and I think it was very good value for money. The flats are a little bit older but kept in good condition.

It was a lovely holiday.
It was a lovely holiday. I would recommend that on the information sheet it informs a guest that the hot water is turned off and also the storage heaters. the information was there about boosting them but the hot water was off. Perhaps before a guest arrives this could be checked. Overall though it was a lovely place to stay. thank you
