Staff was nice, but being nice doesn’t make up for the TV not working and the stained linens with holes or that we were given half used toiletries. Furthermore, the curtains were torn and the molding was falling off the wall. The advertised hot tub is nonexistent, and has been for quite some time according to staff. This should be noted on their website and the pictures changed to reflect current conditions. The continental breakfast was waffles, toast, two cereals with warm milk, and HoneyBuns. The waffle maker had peeling teflon, making it unsafe for use. The laundry is $2 in quarters per load, that’s fair, but the dryer only runs for 30 minutes and takes 2-3 rounds to dry anything other than socks and unmentionables. The location was the only ideal thing about the hotel. If traveling through again I would choose a neighboring hotel to this one. The price should really be closer to $50 a night for the condition it is in.

The staff was friendly. It was an older hotel, but it seemed like a clean hotel. The on site washer and dryer were handy, as we unexpectedly needed to use them. I didn't care for the pillows, as they were quite small. No one in our party liked the breakfast.

The room was generally clean in a "picked-up" sort of way, but the carpet probably hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The HVAC unit in the wall was probably original and the fan was noisy. There was no digital thermostat, just dials to control it, so it was hit/miss getting the temperature correct. The window curtain overhangs the unit so the fan blows up the curtain instead directly into the room Need to hold it back with a shoe or other weight. The curtain itself is old and worn thin in several spots. There is no lightweight curtain in-between it and the window, so you can't have privacy without the room being darkened. There is only 1 small trash can so had to share that between the main room and bathroom. The outlets do not securely hold plugs, do my charging cords were not always charging. The towels were "clean", but were dark with old stains and there were thin spots from probably hundreds of washings. This place needs new linens in a bad way. Wall paper is separating at the seems and is not clean. All-in-all, this is a tired old hotel. The rate for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) was the best I could find in Luverne and I had stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. However, this place needs a complete updating.

This is a very dated hotel with worn furnishings. The wifi was not working and the person on duty did not know where the router was in order to try to reset it. The bed sheets had stains and breakfast was minimal. I would not stay again.
