Our Mountain Retreat

Lovely place to stay. So quiet and peaceable. Such beautiful mountain scenery on a ridge. A great place to escape the every day norm. A little piece of Heaven on earth!!! I want to thank Marc and Lindy for making us feel at home from the very moment we arrived. They greeted us when we arrived and they were so welcoming and made you feel like family. The beauty of the cabin was breath taking, with all the woodwork and craftsmanship. It definitely was the perfect place to unplug and take in nature. Look forward to coming again and stay for longer.

On the mountain top.

The cabin was beautiful on a gorgeous mountain top. The owners provided everything necessary for our stay, including a fruit basket and two canned drinks in the refrigerator. I would have loved to use the outside fire pit, but the cool and wet weather kept us inside where it was warm and cozy.

Real Cabin Experience with Charm

I loved this place. I’ve stayed at a lot of cabins throughout the Appalachians. This one is very rare in actually being located deep in the woods, providing a ton of privacy and beautiful nature. The cabin itself is on a private driveway and backed up against secluded woods. It’s also decorated very well. We loved the first and second floor balconies allowing you to sit outside and read and relax, not to mention the hammock. I would give the owner feedback more than 5 stars if I could. They left a handwritten message on the counter for us before we got there and all of the information we needed. They text me back quickly when I reached out. I wished we were able to stay longer.

Amazing mountain getaway!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! Love the location, completely surrounded by mountains- so quiet and peaceful. Especially loved taking advantage of the firepit and hammock. The cabin itself was beauitful, very clean and comfortable, with lots of little extra special touches, like fresh cut flowers. Definitely hope to come back and spend even longer at this mountainside paradise!!

Perfect getaway

This place was amazing. Adorable, clean and secluded cabin. Don't let the dirt road scare you. Lindy and mark were fantastic So many little touches...a candle, fresh flower on the table when we arrived! The sitting area is not super comfy but we spent most of our time out and about! So much to do near by!! Highly recommend !!!

Wonderful place

If you're looking for a quiet place to stay in the Appalachians, you can't do better than this. It's clear that a lot of thought and effort went into the cabin and its amenities, making the property a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. I'm pretty sure the hammock in the yard is my new favorite place on earth. Also - my stay was shortly after the area got hit by Hurricane Helene, and the hosts were extremely kind and accommodating when I had to adjust my schedule as a result. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Wonderful hosts who love their place in the woods, and you will see that everywhere. You may not realize you'd have the perfect porch seating, but there it is. Likewise the outdoor shower (oh yes, just use it!), and all the different views (your own sort of private mountainette view, an out-over-the-valley view from a swing chair, your own little meadow with campfire). The hosts respect and appreciate their woods: everything they do will show you how to love and appreciate it too. The rocks, the mosses, amenities that blend in, the touches everywhere that showcase wildness--and are kept up wonderfully. This is a fascinating, massively worthwhile place to be.

Anniversary Get-Away

A short 3 day, 2 nite stay in early September. Leaves were still green, and weather was barely cool. Beauty of nature surrounded us. Restful with no noise of traffic, trains or planes. We were definitely, OFF THE GRID and loved every minute. Hiking Trail well kept. Hosts were were very hospitable.

Time to recharge

This rental is absolutely perfect for a quiet get away. The cabin is CLEAN and so comfortable. The hummingbird feeder on the porch was a nice touch and frequented by hummingbirds. The outdoor shower was awesome. Marc and Lindy came up to greet us shortly after we got there. They are super nice people and truly care about your needs. We had a problem with the shower the first night. Marc was so attentive to our call that he wanted to come immediately to fix it. After worrying about us all night, Marc arrived promptly in the morning to make the repair. This is a top notch rental. If you are considering this cabin, do it. You won’t be sorry.

Like a piece of heaven on earth

Loved everything about this wilderness retreat. From the adventurous drive up the ridge to the stunning and clean place and then walking the one mile trail through the woods around the house. We saw a baby fawn and lots of blooming mountain laurels. Then we relaxed in the hammock and after that watched the sunset from the swing. There were even fruit and snacks, coffe tea and firewood ready for the outdoor fire pit. We sure want to come back. Mark and Lindy were wonderful Hosts and we’re thankful we could experience the mountains like that. And it’s close to the cute little town of Wytheville.
