"A tranquil beach-side sanctuary set in beautiful gardens, with trees and flowers, free-ranging chickens, and very talkative frogs. Not the usual package resort, and all the better for that. Breakfast and dinner on the beach is the absolute highlight. A perfect romantic setting, and food is of superb quality, fresh simple and delicious. Our room was clean, simple, quiet, functional, and comfortable. Staff are lovely, though some are young and not very experienced. Tips: 1: if you take a ‘penthouse’ room, leave the A/C on low while you’re out so you don’t get a roasting on return. 2: at dinner it is a good idea to order drinks and bread as soon as you arrive, because on some nights food orders may take time to arrive and a few reminders… (I guess the staff are also inside the hotel’s ‘stress-free zone’) but patience is splendidly rewarded, so take the time to enjoy the gorgeous beach setting. 3: You’ll definitely need a car 4: Sea shoes will make you happy (shingle beach)"
