The staff and facilities were amazing, I think it might just have been a bad room but it had a really bad smell of urine in the bathroom and made the room feel dirty

Breakfast had a choice of hot cereal and pastries. But limited but for the price was ok. Staff were friendly and athough just off a busy road hotel was tucked away. Toby cavery bext door so wasy to get a evening meal

Buffet breakfast was good and staff attentive. This felt like a new hotel, with a very good standard of furniture & fittings. The shower was excellent. The hotel has plenty of parking but is some way out of town, and thus very quiet.

The room was very clean, clean bedding as well. A top up of beverages for the second day would have been nice. We did have an issue with noisy guests at 0045 hours, who were laughing loudly down stairs outside the entrance however, that is not a dig at the hotel just an observation of bad manners from the guests! Overall though. A nice stay.

It was easy to find, parking was good, check in was quick and easy, we were surprised to be given the disabled room, there was mould in the shower but otherwise very clean, very close to York centre so we could explore.
